Popa, most flavors are very weak. Coffee is one of them. You are better ordering some Bickford Kahlua or coffee flavor and vaping that by itself, or mixed some vegetable glycerine. I like taste, and the commercial nic liquids are mostly very weak. Course, years of smoking have rendered my taste buds next to useless. But others have made the same weak-flavor observation.

Kate was right in one regard: Smoking is no longer perceived as "cool" by the public. E-smoking won't be considered cool by the public, either. You'll still be an uncool nerd/geek, even while sucking on your new 901.

Well good luck. I hope you don't regret it later. And don't get me wrong, I loved smoking and I love vaping - just wish I'd been fly enough to avoid the whole business. The problem is not just nic addiction - the whole tactile element of handling a cigarette and playing with the smoke is at least as addictive (though I didn't fully appreciate that until I took up the e-cigs).

There is a high probability that this pursuit will be banned in the future. If that happens I'll be back on the hot smokes before the ink dries on the legislation. If you've formed an addiction to the physical element of smoking by then, where will it leave you?

Hope you never get caught that way.

A little off topic, but okay. I have to point out that this would depend on the public. I've met people who, due to their illiteracy and naiveness, believe that smoking doesn't do any damage at all, continuing to smoke a pack(s)/day. Then, there are those who are more intelligent and are aware of the harmful effects of smoking. However, they happen to be (I guess b/c of their relatively outstanding intelligence) managers and directors of a big unit/department within an organization, gather in one place, have a 5-minute smoke and expect you to 'join' them. Don't get me wrong as I'm not saying that I belong to either party, but being the smartest among the dumbest isn't always a bad thing, especially if you work in Sunset Park.

I didn't get it. Are you saying that there's a high chance of you going back to regular smokes?

    Yup

If I can't get carts or e-liquid of at least 11mg potency, I won't be able to service my nicotine addiction. No delivery system works for me except inhalation, so I'd be back on the hots as soon as my supply gave out. A decision I made decades ago still has me. I doubt if I'll ever be free of nicotine but at least I'm free of all the life-threatening toxins associated with burning tobacco (for the moment).

Gee, sorry dude, didn't know it's that bad. Maybe this is not a good place to ask this, but what would happen if a person, who needs that much nicotine, doesn't get any for a day? (Don't answer if uncomfortable)

I'm a lot more comfortable than I used to be, since e-cigs happened along. What used to happen is I got foul tempered and acted like a total jerk until the poor sods catching all the fallout begged me to smoke a damn cigarette and leave them alone. Classic cold turkey behaviour and I could claim I only went back on the weed at their request.

I've gone all the usual route(s) to try and break the habit. Nothing really worked. I wasn't really invested in it because I like smoking, and all of my socialising included it. Knew it was killing me but what the hell.

The ban in the UK hit me very hard because beer without a cigarette is like a hot dog without mustard. I was pretty much resigned to being a lifelong smoker and only took up e-smoking so I could fake at least the physical handling of a cigarette down the pub.

Six weeks later (July 11) I stopped smoking real cigarettes and I haven't had one since, except one on the 3 month line to see if I missed hot smoke (not at all, as it turned out). All in all this is a godsend as it's freed me from the really scary health hazards of smoking. But I still wish I'd been smarter earlier.

I utterly and completely relate to that. I had a collapsed lung in my mid-twenties and continued to smoke Yep, the stupidest thing in the world but I still couldn't give up the fags.

Even now, I'm more than a bit worried about the long term effects of vaping, unfortunately, just not enough....
