Might want to look into trying some others. Also, VG liquids might be something to think about.

It takes a knack for sure. I have to hold it in my mouth for a millisecond before inhaling.

SOS Update Thank You to all of you who were online Sunday and responded to my call for help when I was alone and had a serious reaction to my first vaping experience. This is to let you know that I am still here and slowly recovering on my own, albeit a bit worse for wear. Apparently, my reaction to the PG is similar to the propellant (dehydrated ethanol) used as a CFC replacement in the inhalers used for COPD and asthmatics. That nearly killed me, too. I have enphysemia, hypoglycemia, chronic back pain, periphial neuropathy, a bad heart, post traumatic stress, and many allergies. Call 9-11? (Oops, I meant 9+1+1) It simply is not an option for me. For your sake, I won't go into detail; my story is negative and not one that you'd want to encourage on your forum to recruit new members. It would involve a much larger picture than your campaign to promote the FREEDOM to use the e-cig. Even if I am allergic and can't use it, I was happy to find there is a hopeful alternative to smoking for others. However, maybe someone ought to consider some sort of emergency chat-help-line support for those that may have reactions? One of you rather rudely asked why I was online instead of calling for "professional" help. You really don't even need to understand my situation to see how cold that was. Perhaps you could make such an immediate judgement if you was able to step out of your personal self-induced fog long enough to walk a mile in my shoes before making such an insensitive statement? That alone, was enough to make me wonder if there are other side effects using the e-cig as such delusions of grandeur and uncivilized behaviour! I really thought I finally found a support community for my smoking addiction. Evidently, because I was not successful, I do not belong here. But Thanks and best wishes to all, anyway; and try to remember: ASSUME NOTHING QUESTION REALITY CrowDog |

Remember to draw in slowly. If you suck in too hard, you don't give the atomizer enough time to vaporize the liquid. Were your lips tingling, as well? That's from getting liquid on them. I once got up and started vaping & drinking coffee. i was so engrossed in my work, I never ate anything. I started to get woozy, nauseous and lightheaded - not pleasant. Once I ate and stopped vaping for a while, it got better. Because I didn't have to get up and go outside to smoke, I vaped a lot more than I used to smoke. So, if that is the case for you, maybe reduce the nicotine content if you're vaping more than you smoked. Try drawing the vapor into your mouth before inhaling it, rather than a direct draw into your lungs. Also, there is a link below to an overall guide/tips about using a 510. Hope that helps!

Oh, No, Kasey! You mean me confuse you? I did not intend that. My problem with the e-cig has to do with my poor health, not with your response. You could not know my situation, but you quickly responded in a caring way, which helped. I cannot get proper medical care for my condition, BECAUSE I SMOKE! I have suffered multiple traumas at the hands of so-called professionals. A lot of big-time politics at work. Hopefully, you're safe; if you are not classified as an "unknown ethnic". |

| sbucciarel: I had some pretty funky stuff happen my first few days too. In my case it was several things- I got over enthusiastic trying all my new stuff and definitely took in too much nicotine. I hadn't done the math to figure out how much nicotine I'd been getting in analogs to begin with, so I went overboard. I also now know that I have a slight sensitivity to PG. But you know what I think part of it was? I think the primer in the 510 attys was making me kinda ill. Once the primer went away I felt fine. I know that sounds weird and unlikely but when my first attys finally died and I started breaking in some new ones I suddenly had some of the same symptoms: foggy headedness, nausea, coughing, etc. Now I wash the hell out of my attys first and it doesn't happen anymore. |

I'm sorry you had suffered from trying the ecig. This is a place for anybody. By letting us know what kind of reaction you had will help all of us. Don't give up. Maybe in a few days you can try again. It sounded to me like too much nicotine. I has suffered severely from overdoing it on the nicotine. Hopefully it wasn't a reaction to PG.If you think it was try switching to VG. Hope it works out for you. |
