    Default dead battery

dang, i guess im partially back on analogs for now. 3rd day, and i took a battery off charge and put the dead one on to charge. went to vape with the charged one, and not even a flicker from the led, and no vapor. guess i'll wait for the other one to finish charging, and make sure the atomizer and all is ok. if thats the case, i guess ill check with steve to see if its covered for a swap out. i have the usb unit otw, and i guess i better get a spare battery on my next order it appears to have no life whatsoever, anyone have a suggestion? i dont want to mess with it until i verify if its covered under the 14 day deal. up to this my 901 has been perfect, and i treat it very carefully.

Ask your dealer, you may need a replacement under warranty.

Always have spares if you're counting on your ecig, these devices are very unreliable.

thanks kate. seems its even worse..battery finished charging, and this one is lighting but no vapor so now im down to nothing...i guess im suspecting the atomizer is dead now. so now im wondering if i have a dead battery and a dead atomizer, or if for some reason only one battery wont light because the atomizer died. almost seems as if they somehow shorted each other out.. anyway, i never drip just top off carts, so theres no way i flooded. anyone have any similar experience? i do have spare atomizers in the mail otw, so i can see what happens with those.

Is your atomiser heating up at all Jim? If it's not it's dead but if it's heating at all there is hope.

Sounds like what happened to me. I had an atomizer short out and I proceeded to put it on every battery I had trying to get it to work. It immediately killed each battery. Don't forget there is a chip in those and drawing maximum current from the battery through that chip seems to fry it immediately. I had to toss the atomizer and 3 batteries and start over. I should know better as I am a techie but it didn't dawn on me that a non functional atomizer was shorted out or that the batteries would be so unforgiving. Bummer dude, mine did it right before Thanksgiving and I was without for 3 days.

Seems I am in the club with that. i had 2 batteries and 2 atomizers. *Something* burned. Really burned, burning plastic smell and too hot to touch. I suspected battery so I charged the other one. It gave 2 or 3 puffs and then everything went cold.

But my batteries light up the LEDs. So I am not sure what exactly died and what exactly killed it...

appreciate the input all. the one battery continues to light, the other dosnt. i didnt know an atomizer could short out batteries, thats kinda what i was wondering. just really sad i have to go fully back on analogs when everything was going so well(i only had 2 yesterday from a pack a day habit). hoping steve from puresmoker will help me out, i already did a contact to his website. this was my "test" kit to see if it would help me, and i have spare parts on order, but sadly, i hadnt ordered a battery, just juice, atomizers and usb power($80 after the $70 i spent on initial order). im now thinking it might be wise to order a second whole kit for a few batts extra charger etc. i dont think this is normal, but i certainly cant afford a new battery and atomizer every 3 days, lol.thats a $50 a week habit im willing to take a few hits for the health benefits alone though, so im not giving up yet

Hey, I share your pain. I go through more batteries than atomizers.

having said that, if your unit is beyond warranty, I would be happy to pay postage to have you send it to me for a future DIY modification. Lemme know

Cheese graters could also be marketed and sold as sponge ruiners. Think about it.

i only had it 3 days, so im hoping its under warranty.waiting to hear back from steve, stating i can wait for the already shipped atomizers to check if the battery will work with it. have any of you known a battery to not light because the atomizer is bad? thats what im waiting to find out. it will no longer take a charge im guessing because its fully charged already...im now a bit worried if the battery has some short, it could kill new atomizers after seeing some of the replies here
