All three V9 batteries stopped working?

Would post this in the help forum but I guess I don't have enough cred to, sorry about that.

I got two ePuffer Magnum batteries and one Loongtotem V9. Before I went on a flight I put them as well as my NJOY penstyle and some spare carts in the box I got my Magnum in - which has a magnet closing the flap/lid.

This was in my luggage so it's safe to say they probably got bounced around a lot. And when I landed the one I was using worked fine.

Cut to my flight back, and back home, now they will charge but not light up (except when charging) or work at all. I know there's a microprocessor involved in these things but I dunno if the magnet in the box had anything to do with this. Is there any sort of troubleshooting I can do to fix this, or am I out of 3 batteries? The penstyle had no problems at all.

This is an interesting one! You might get replies from others who have been on aircraft but I don't remember seeing anyone else mention this. It doesn't sound sensible for the box something came in to have enough magnetism in the catch to cause a problem so that doesn't seem too likely.

Afraid I'm not awfully techie and don't know what a V9 looks like but being fairly down to earth about things (eg When your pc/monitor/printer etc won't work, first make sure it is plugged in! ) I'm wondering if the problem might be the charger having failed and not in fact charging even if lights come on. If you have more than one charger these batteries fit into it could be worth testing out this theory?

As people presumably take other rechargeable electronic items (like toothbrushes etc) on planes it doesn't seem logical to think there's anything special about flying that should kill them.

Could possibly depend on what type of security scanning they use at the airport but I'd have thought there would be warnings to let you know if there's a risk to electronic goods going through before you check in your hold luggage. Imagine how pleased someone would be if their laptop got scragged because it went in the hold rather than carryon!

Will keep an eye on this thread as I'm interested in whether this could be something to be careful about in the future. Since I got my 901 the thought of it getting wiped out on me is as frightening as leaving the house without my Marlboros used to be!

I have two chargers and I didn't take them with me so it's not them, unless both died on me.

The V9 is the battery and chip in one I'm assuming since the cartridges have the atomizer inside them. And IIRC, the penstyles have the chip in the atomizer which is separate from the cart and the battery. If I'm right in assuming that, as well as sometimes V9 batteries light up when accidentally dropped, then the constant jarring of a plane may have caused something to short out. That also makes no sense since the flight up didn't hurt it at all.

Possibly, but I'm not sure what the TSA could really do to a battery. Unless they have some sort of future zapgun that fries microchips. The penstyle still works which is the part that confuses me. If all four were busted then I'd probably cut my losses and remember to take them in my carryon next time, the only problem my penstyle has is a dirty atomizer and that's due to my own laziness.
