Hi, this is my first post on this forum, in fact it's my first post on any forum!

I have been reading the posts here for a while and I have really learned a lot from the people here. I finally decided that it's time that I joined in and contribute to the forum also.

A little about me, my name is Jerry, but I use JerryRM. RM is my nickname and Jerry was already taken.

I was a smoker for 46 years, I started when I was 14 years old and at a time when smoking wasn't considered a big deal.

I enjoyed smoking (I thought) and I had no intention of quiting. I bought my first e-cig two months ago, just to cut down on cigarettes and save a little money. Surprise! The more I vaped, the less I liked cigarettes! I would light up a cigarette, take a couple of puffs, put it out and reach for my vaporizer instead! I couldn't stand the taste or smell of a cigarette anymore! It has been two weeks since I "lit up".

I am currently using a SmokeTip cartomizer (reliable and long lasting) and a Joye 510 (my favorite, very versatile, with lots of vapor and a good bite).

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I know what you mean about the taste of analogs. I tried one after a month and 1/2 of quitting and I could only take 3 drags and had to put it out. Vaping is so much tastier.

Hi Jerry i am in the same boat as you first time really posting on any forums.I got my silver bullet on friday and haven't touched an analog since.2 pack a day smoker for almost 30 years never thought i would ever quit.I say if i can do it anybody could quit with a good e-cig. My wife is still smoking because i still haven't got my order from china yet and even her smoking in front of me i could care less.Feels like i'm 20 years younger I feel that good.good luck to you Jerry

...everyone for the warm welcome. Here is a tip that I use when the devil in my mind says "come on, light up, just one for old times sake", I took the burnt cigs and ashes from an ashtray and put them in a plastic container. Then I open the container and take a whiff. It works every time !!

Yet another welcome to ECF, Jerry! And thanks for that SmokeTip lead! I was unfamiliar with that supplier. Not a very good price for starter kits, but good price (and free shipping) on cartomizers.
