    Default Good Morning!

    Good morning folks!

Just currently joined your beloved forum, and have lurked for a while since i started to 'willingly' try to quit smoking.

I am quite familiar with forums, and of course the regular amount of courtesy needed to establish some good rapport.

I have posted on a few number of threads first, before being able to post my own.

I am also learning quite a few from these threads posted via kate,

*edited due to inability to post urls still*

    and wish to learn more.

will post my questions later on today, and unfortunately, my office filters will not show videos.

got the 'epuffer' mini cig from my sister a couple of days ago, and hopefully, this can help me reduce and dreaming about quitting the habit...anyhow, here are a few questions id hope to find out about...

    1. epuffer, your opinions? (sorry, the whole search options, are quite a lot to read thru, so a quickie response would help out )

    2. when i carry it in my pocket, should i keep it upright, with the 'filter' on topside instead of the battery part?

    3. does it leak out? still learning.

    4. i still smoke in the morning, and trying to avoid it so to speak after i read thru a bit here on the forum... bad? critical?

    5. will read thru the side effects.

    6. i was trying to find a small container for my epuffer. is there any out there that is minimal and small enough to carry?

    7. i keep on disassembling it when i use it, is it comparative to just keep it on or off? just worried about battery consumption et al.

all in all, this is it for now. thank you again for the replies folks.

    appreciate it!

    8. i normally smoke marlboro ultra lights 100's and im trying to figure out the amount of nicotine they have. i have been smoking at average around 5-6 sticks a day... with that in mind, would...

    9. 6mg cartridges be too much? or too little?

    10. how many times can i smoke a ecig?

    11. is the 901 ive been seeing the same as my epuffer minicig?

all these questions, and well, im still learning, so i ask for more patience with me.

Don't have much never purchased anything from that site. Though looking over their minis seem a tad bit over priced for what you get

    2. when i carry it in my pocket, should i keep it upright, with the 'filter' on topside instead of the battery part?

Meh, I don't carry them in my pocket. According to the amazing User guide I got with mine it says...and I quote "prevent it from mixing with metal articles in your pocket, wallet or other bags. The conductors can bring about short circuit, heating or damages to the battery components". :P Buy/build a case.

    3. does it leak out? still learning.

I don't know, possibly if you fill your own cartridges or hold a fresh one incorrectly long enough...May leak into the atomizer. But as long as the unit is put together correctly I've never had it leak out the side.

    4. i still smoke in the morning, and trying to avoid it so to speak after i read thru a bit here on the forum... bad? critical?

If you're trying to quit, I would stop the smoking in the morning. Give your Electronic vaporizer a few days. You'd be surprised how much you hate analog cigarettes and the difference in the taste.

    6. i was trying to find a small container for my epuffer. is there any out there that is minimal and small enough to carry?

Yes, depends on your model, but more than likely. You can create your own, there are a few posts that i've seen that show what people did to create their own.

    7. i keep on disassembling it when i use it, is it comparative to just keep it on or off? just worried about battery consumption et al.

I'll leave that for someone else, i always leave mine together. Unless I'm charging it or cleaning the atomizer

    8. i normally smoke marlboro ultra lights 100's and im trying to figure out the amount of nicotine they have. i have been smoking at average around 5-6 sticks a day... with that in mind, would...

Welp: Tar 4mg, Nicotine 0.4mg on regular ultra lights. I think it's 6mg of tar and .6mg on 100s. Don't quote me on that.

    9. 6mg cartridges be too much? or too little?

Well, if they offer 4mg cartridges I would give that a go. It all depends on the type of device you have. If you have a mini, i would probably go with 4mg. Just because cartridges last about 10 smokes and 20 would be a pack and that would be 8mg. Where as your ultra lights have 10mg per box.

    10. how many times can i smoke a ecig?

    Depends on model.

    11. is the 901 ive been seeing the same as my epuffer minicig?

I believe so, looks similar. But once again you can get a better deal else where :P Plus I prefer places to call them 'DSE 901' so I know what i'm getting.

    There's your answers, enjoy

my confidence in this thread and forum grows each minute i get answers.

i think that with such a support group like this, i can learn a lot more, and hopefully get rid of this dreaded habit.

i also like the reference to the regular cig as an 'analog' hehehe. means so much in the HT world...

    Thank you again...

Hi Jomari, welcome to the forum, I'm glad you're finding useful information. There's a lot of it but it's spread around and takes a while to find.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Epuffer but they don't have a bad reputation.

Carry your device with the mouthpiece up or store horizontal.

Sometimes they can leak a little if you overfill them but that's not the norm.

Be gentle with yourself over quitting, it's not like going cold turkey where you've wasted your time if you have a hot one occasionally. Cut down and stop when you are ready. The last one or two might need a bit of willpower but once you are clear of them for a few days you will probably be like many of us who wouldn't look back.

This is a good thread about side effects - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...e-smoking.html

Here are some threads about cases - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat - Threads Tagged with cases

You don't need to unscrew the battery unless it's faulty. The switch should only work when you draw.

I think your cigs have 0.5 or 0.8mg of nic each, that would be 3-4.8mg per day you are getting at the moment. Eliquid is measured in mg per ml, so 6mg would be 6mg per 1ml. If you vape 1ml then you would be getting slightly more nic than usual. Mini cartridges hold around 0.5ml of eliquid. There is some more information about this here - Nicotine safety

You can vape as much as you want but just be careful to use the amount of nic you are happy with. Maybe get some zero so you can overdo it as many of us do

    Kate,

thank you for the information. again, its a matter of time and patience on my end, and be a diligent enough to use the search function before hand.

im used to malboro ultra 100's, and currently am using cartridges that have 6mg, im trying to find some better suppliers that can 'fit' my current model.

    - do you think id have to go lower dosage tho? i havent really noticed anything recently.

ive mentioned before, i couldnt link to urls due to my status, and have been reading up a bit. thank you for such informative threads as mentioned.

today is the first day im going to end up using this ecig (is that what you'd call em?)

i had an 'analog cig' earlier, still in the 'i must have a cig in the morning' phase...

    3. what do you say when you are 'asked' about it? both inquiring minds, or assaulting ones?

I was thinking about your nicotine levels and am not sure what would be good advice to be honest. You need enough to curb your nic habit (which is pretty low) when it's needed. If you use your device a lot - more than you would smoke then theoretically low and zero nic eliquid would be sufficient. If you vape occasionally only when you might otherwise smoke then you might need a spike of higher nicotine, that is what happens when we smoke, we get spikes and then a gradual lowering until we have another smoke for another spike. If low and zero don't satisfy you consider getting some medium (11mg) eliquid and use two drops when you would otherwise smoke. Use zero the rest of the time if you continue to vape.

Really you'll have to try it and see what works for you but if you're sensible you won't increase your tolerance and dependence on nicotine.

Be gentle with yourself, gradually phase out the cigs if that helps, there's no need to agonise about having a hot one occasionally with this method. Just vape to replace them when you can for now.

There are no laws against vaping in the US so legally it's not a problem. That doesn't mean that you can do it anywhere, you can't, some places and organisations don't allow vaping on their premises.
