Juice clogging the addy
I am hoping some of the more experienced people can help me. I have been vaping for a while, although have not completely given up the analogs yet. So far went from 2 packs a day to about 5 to ten a day. Anyway, i was getting really frustrated with my M402. My favorite flavor is coffee which I mixed myself with 36 mg PG, VG and Lorann coffee flavoring. The lorann coffee flavoring seems to be thicker than all the other flavors and a lot darker in color. I just put on a new atty and a lemonade juice and wow, what a difference. Vapor galore and a drag that is exactly like a real ciggy. So it has to do something with the flavoring I would think. i think the dark thick coffee flavoring is clogging my atty to the point where it is really hard to get a hit out of it. you guys think I need to water down the coffee oil or should I try a different manufacturer? I would think that the dark oils produce enough residue to clog the atty. Do I need to stay away from the dark liquids all together?

I am a noob here and haven't started mixing with Lorann's yet, but I did read a thread about it and they said that not all the lorann's are good to use. I don't know if you read that or not. They said that you should stay away from anything containing "oils" and sugar among other things because it will gunk up the atty. I think the thread was DIY e-juice. They have a list of all the Lorann's with the ingredients of each flavor and color coding for good/bad/questionable ingredient based on good for vaping and possible health issues of some ingredients. If you are already familiar with this - sorry, but if not you might want to go look at it.

I don't know either, BUT, I would think the darker the liquid the more particles there are suspended in the clear liquid. In as case like this, you would be right, they might clog up the breather holes.
Thin out the liquid? That's easy, get as high a nic juice you can and simple squirt in some cheap mix juice--that will do it.

Yeah I think I read thru the list of good flavors to use....if I remember correctly, coffee wasn't on there. And I have heard plenty of people saying that they vape coffee all the time....I have to find that thread and go thru it again.

I have the same coffee flavor here, as well as the keoke coffee from lorann.
The difference in the two is drastic, the coffee is VERY DARK and you can see GUNKY residue in it with your eyes, so yes this stuff will build up and clog an atty MUCH faster than any clear liquid.
The keoke coffee on the other hand is a lighter color though still dark, but does not have the visible particles like the regular coffee flavor has.
Having said all that, I have gotten pre mixed coffee samples from vendors that was clear in color like pg and if I can find a similar product from another flavoring company than loranns would use it before touching the loranns coffee flavor.
But if you love the flavor, consider dedicating an atty (or 2) to it, and plan on cleaning it out via alcohol or crest pro mouthwash etc VERY often.
Also you can get a soda can (beer etc) and cut it apart so you can drip liquid on the bottom then use a lighter or candle underneath to vape off a drop or 2 of liquid and see for yourself what kind of residue a particular liquid is leaving behind in your atty.

I mixed some coffee myself. It was almost black in color. It too clogged up my atomizer.

Sounds like it is the coffee from Lorann then....have to figure something out.....I wonder if there is a clear coffee oil somewhere....but i guess that wouldn't make any sense, can't have clear coffee.

I have used other coffee flavors other than Loranns and it all cloggs your attys.
I love coffee, but the clogging is just a fact of life, I think.
Cleaning atty doesnt unstop the clogging once it is clogged up.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..
