Default New to Vaping, in Las Vegas

I've been browsing these forums for a good 2 weeks, pretty much to terrified to post because of the overwhelming amount of information.

Today marks my second day vaping, and my first official day on the forum
And I still have worries and such on my starter kit because it's not really vaping up to what I've seen others with the same thing doing on say Youtube.

I've been told that the atomizers need some time to break in to get some good vape going, so I'm just hoping that's all it is.
I'm using a Volcano Ecig. Or as I've learned from these forums a L88b model.
I plan on doing the PTB cart mod, and I've ordered some juice to start refilling, but that'll take awhile to ship to me.

I was just wondering if there were any other vapers in the Las Vegas/Henderson area.

I'm pretty much on my own when it comes to vaping, as none of my friends or family are really remotely interested in it(yet).
And I'd love to meet some other folks that vape as well.

Maybe ask some questions or try a different PV or something, and maybe get some help with my atomizer. If it's bad or needs broken in, or my technique isn't right.

Just hang out, I guess.
It's lonely to be the only vaper *sniffle*

I understand where you are coming from. I was the first of the people I know. I had to go through the hit and miss. I found my favorite model the third time around. Now some of my friends are making the switch and I get tell them the how and the why.
Being the first means you need to ask questions here and remember, patience is a virtue.

Welcome

I ordered some juice last night, so if it ships out today I'll have to wait till Mon/Tue to get it. Damn Sundays and their no mail!

I'd rather not support those rip-off stands. They just seem to not care about anything more than making a quick buck.

So how did you enjoy Vegas? Loose all your money?
You better have! Support this city! Give us all your monies!

Hahaha, awesome. Make sure you come back soon to give us more monies!

Yeah the economy is pretty trashed here right now, tourists make the city go 'round, and they haven't been coming like they used to cause of the economy.

Doesn't seem like there are to many Vegas folks around, or checking this section anyways.

*sings*I'm so lonely!
I'm... Mr. Lonely!

To vape away wiiiiiiiiith!

I know Dawn & George of DIYflavorshack are based in Vegas. They're pretty popular juice makers around here.

They have a bit of a wait time on juice deliveries but couldn't hurt to check them out since they're in the same city.

They're nice folks who are available by phone and I read on their site that they're always looking other Vegas vapers for get togethers. So who knows, maybe they could hook you up with something local when you're in a pinch.

Hey, I'm not from Las Vegas, but I have a Volcano as well. I find that the Volcano will put out quite a satisfying amount of vapor, but the cart design just doesn't seem to allow consistent vaping through the whole cart. When you have your own juice to refill the carts, you can keep them topped off and you'll get plenty of vapor. Also, you may want to consider cutting your liquids with VG. This'll increase the vapor production by a mile. (exaggerating a bit, but it makes a huge difference.)

I understand the frustration of not knowing any other local vapers... but that will change. Since I have started vaping so many people have shown interest that I'm sure at least a few of them will join me eventually! One has purchased a starter kit, but I haven't seen her use it in public yet.

Good luck finding what works best for you!

Thanks Birdy. I feel a bit silly, but I'll give them a call with the number on their site.
It would be really nice to know just a single other vaper in the Vegas area.

Yeah, I've noticed the carts are not the greatest thing in the world, but as you said once I get juice I can start topping the carts off. I planned on dipping while I was sitting at home and such and saving the carts for when I'm on the go.

I am hoping that I can get some friends and family switched over as well. Today marks my 3rd day without an analog, and I don't even notice I havn't had one in 3 days.
I just pick up my volcano and puff away on it and that urge goes buh-bye.

When I get juice and mod my carts with the PTB mod, I am hoping I can get more consistent draws off them, which will make me use my Volcano more like a regular cigarette in that I'd pick it up every hour or so and puff on it 5, 6, 7 times and then put it down till I have another nic urge.
