    Default A few questions

So I think I'm going to finally make an attempt to stop smoking cigarettes, and am definitely leaning toward buying the two 510's from cignot.com. I have browsed the forums and have noticed a lot about "throat hits" and I think this is one of the things I enjoy the most from regular cigarettes. Will I still be able to achieve this using the 510s? Also, I smoke about a pack a day, less during the week, more on the weekends when i'm drinking. Roughly, what does a pack of cigarettes equate to in ml? In other words what amount of money would I be looking at to spend on e-liquid/ month? Thanks for the help.

I didn't know what throat hit was until I lit one of my Dad's Winston Reds the other day. (After 7 months of not smoking)
You have to know that you want to quit. I was feeling the effects of smoking for 35 years. I bought an NPRO instead of 2 cartons of full flavor menthols and haven't looked back. I think, if you want to quit, it will work. If you don't, it will be something you can do where smoking isn't permitted. But you will always know it is there when you are ready. Vaping is much less expensive. Just pick a kit, buy it, and stick with it for a while. They all have their quirks. I smoked 2 packs a day and vape about 3Ml of juice a day. Less if I go stronger, but I was one that smoked all the time so I vape all the time. If you are a "smoke break" smoker, you will probably vape the same way. You will just have to see what satisfies you.

I'll think you'll be pretty impressed when you try the 510. When I got my 510 kit in, I pretty much tossed my pack of smokes as soon as it touched my lips

As far as liquid consumption is concerned, I've heard several people on these forums say the average vaper will go through about 1-2ml a day. I think I average about 2 a day, but it might be more since I have about 10 flavors sitting on my desk and I thoroughly enjoy testing all of them

You'll probably spend about 20 bucks for a months supply of liquid. I highly recommend the 555 and drewbacco from Nhaler and the redbull from DIYflavorshack. Nhaler's got 6ml sample bottles for $4, so I suggest checking that place out if you're looking to try different flavors out.

The 510 should deliver pleanty throat hit for you.

You will most likely find you vape more than you smoked especially in the beginning (new toy syndrome ) so it is difficult to say how much liquid you will go through.

I used to smoke 40ish a day and I have been vaping around 20ml of 11mg to 16mg strength per week for over a year.

Some people use different strengths say first thing in the morning and during the day a higher strength, if vaping continuously in the evening they use a lower nic liquid.

It is best to experiment with small amounts of each to see what suits you, so at first buy some 5ml or 10ml bottles in different flavours and strengths then just play around till you find something that satisfies.

Also dont worry if you do smoke the occasional cigarette its not the end of the world.

for the most part I agree with Keef. The 510 is a nice unit. The biggest quirks you will find with it are the batteries. it seems they only last 2 or so when they are new (if you use them pretty much constantly like i do). And they descend from there. so get extra batts if you go 510. or look at a mod like the Chuck/GG/xHaler. They are basically big batteries that can last days without recharging and the life span of the battery is 3-4x greater as well.

I have found the best deal on my Joye 510 from Cignot.com. I just ordered another one from there for a friend of mine, $35.00 for the starter kit (2 complete PV's with charger and 5 pre-filled carts), $12.00 for a 20ml bottle/24mg of the refill liquid (same flavor that comes with the kit) and $5.00 for shipping = $52.00. Order $60.00 or more and it's free shipping.

Ease into this slowly and if you are one of the lucky ones, you'll put your analogs (cigs) away for ever and not look back - as I did.

    Good Luck!

I quit instantly with my first vape on 4 November 2009. Thank You ECF!

    Welcome Aboard!

I vape around 3ml a day. I was a three pack a day ultralite smoker before I quit. All in all, I think how much you vape might be more dependant on how much free time you have more than anything else.

You will most likely spend about $10 per week on e liquid. Give or take a couple of bucks.

make sure to have extra atomizers and several batteries and eliquid so you dont run out...
