Hi Skittles and welcome to ECF

If you don't want to be messing with liquid, then carts for all the major models are going to work out real expensive for you. So on that basis I would recommend a two peice model with cartomizers instead. KR808D-1 or Greencig.

First I would like to welcome you to the forum.
Many people have their preferences and they vary just like cigarette brand preferences.
I would personally recommend 510/Yeti manual starter kit (usually comes with 2 batteries, 2 attomizers, charger, 5 carts)
Cartridges seems to last about the same as 4-7 cigs. So depending on how much you normally smoke would depend on the number of cartridges you would need.
There are many good vendors listed on the forum here Supporting Suppliers - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat
    Best of luck!

FYI - Rob (aka halopunker) owner of altsmoke is my son and I will plug his business whenever I can! I am in no way affiliated with his company other than being his mom. I also buy from other vendors and try to be fair in all my recommendations.

Oh i am so confused...... I looked at the yeti, but if i order extra cartridges they are unfilled, what does that mean. I dont want something i am going to have to fill. I want the cartridges already flavored

the batteries on a 510 last about 2 hrs depending on your vaping style. The unfilled cartridges are for use with ejuice which I personally would recommend as it is a much cheaper alternative to constantly purchasing filled cartridges. I'm not sure which suppliers sell prefilled cartridges as I don't use them. Wish I could be more help.

    Hi Skittles,

I can understand your reluctance to "mess with liquid", but it's really not as much trouble as I thought it would be. It's also necessary if you want to save a LOT of money. Also, putting an extra dab of e-liquid on the cart material enhances the whole vaping experience by making the vapor output more consistent.

The 510/Yeti model is an excellent one, with a great reputation (though, I've not tried it - I use the 901 which is also very good).

Unfilled carts are those that have no liquid in them at all, and that you fill yourself with whatever e-fluid you like.

Well, I started out with the flavored cartridges also. It didn't take me long to realize it was costing me more than cigarettes and I only started vaping to SAVE money on cigs not to quit smoking. Didn't work out that way, I was totally surprised that I quit smoking cigarettes but I wouldn't have one now if they were free.
If you want to save money and you are at least a pack a day smoker ( I was almost a 3 pack a day smoker) you will need to go with the smokejuice. It's really not a big deal. As for which model....I guess I am predjudice. I have TWO Silver Bullets and wouldn't trade them for anything! You also get the BEST customer service in the business IMHO from Altsmoke.com.
    That's my 2 cents.

It's ALL liquid stuff. What is in the cartridges IS the liquid. I recommend going to Arno at AwesomeVapor.com and getting the DSE901 starter kit. Order an extra atomizer and a bottle or two of e-liquid. That should keep you set for about a month, at least.

My other advice to you is to read, read , read the forum. There is a lot to learn

Hi. Welcome ECF. As someone alredy posted, vaping only prefilled cartridges is going to get expensive really quick. It may end up costing more than smoking analogs but I've never done the math because I always refill my own carts. Right now it costs me about $1.50 a day to vape as opposed to analogs at about $7. It only takes a few seconds to refill a cart.

However, if you're dead set against refilling then I would go with a two peice unit that combines the atomizer and cartridge into one unit which then screws onto the battery, I have no experience with these type of devices.

To people brand new to vaping I always recommend doing plenty of homework before making a purchase. Try to determine what your needs and wants are and then try to determine what models fit the bill.

The video review section of this forum is a great place to get information because you get to see the products in action.

There are plenty of reputable suppliers on this forum to purchase from when you find what it is that you need.

I would say good luck but you won't need it if you become educated so that you can find the products that are right for you.
