Default Another Newbie here with a question

Hello all. I am a newbie here and first off want to thank all of you for this site and the invaluable information that I have learned since last night when I found it. I lost both of my parents in the past 13 months to cancer and need to quit analogs so I am quite excited over this e-cig. I have smoked 1 1/2 packs for 30 years and am feeling quite desperate to quit, and this seems to be the perfect solution for me. Even if I can just use these and give up the analogs I feel that I am making progress.I placed my first order last night with PureSmoker and got 2 starter kits, the standard size(don't know the number) but they are not the minis. I also ordered some juice. I am so excited to get it that I can't stand it!
My question is I what other model do you suggest for a newbie? I need this to work and would like to try another type so I get my feel for it and see what I prefer. I would like something that is a bit different to try out, and also want to stock up on supplies so that I never run out. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I am so glad that I have found you all.
    Thanks
    Stephanie

Hi Stephanie, welcome to the forum.

I hope e-vaping works out for you but don't build your hopes too high, it's not for everyone. We're enthusiasts here so we think it's the best thing since sliced bread but not everyone enjoys it.

Having said that, from the way you're all excited I bet you'll love it.

I won't give you advice on what other devices to look at except to say that you should spend some time on the review board. You have time to try out your new toy and get used to it before you need to swap to another. Give it a few days at least, you haven't even got one yet.

Relax, enjoy the forum, settle in and pick up tips and tricks. After a few days of using your device you'll have a better idea of your priorities.

If you haven't already read this thread you might want to get around to it, it's the best place on the forum to start - Helpful links and videos for a new user.

I'm really liking my pen style from Puresmoker and 2 kits holds me over very well.

Don’t let the posts make it sound too easy. It is taking all my willpower to stay off the analog cigs. I also had a tough time vaping the liquid in the cartridges that came with the unit. I ended up putting my e-cig away for a few days and ordering the Johnson Creek Juice. That helped me, but of course everyone is different. I am starting with the 901 mini, I think it is called. The battery life and size of the cartridges is a bit small, but I do think the actual size of the thing is perfect. I tend to keep it in my hand at all times-just like I always had a smoke in my hand. The pen type is slightly larger and probably works better for someone who wants/needs to vape a lot. I don’t think I will move to anything smaller then my current 901. I will definitely need to buy a second e-cig soon to keep up with my vaping.

A few hints I would give you- When you first get your e-cig start using the 0 nicotine cartridges first. That way you can play around with the thing for a day without changing your smoking habits. Also I hope you can be one of the posters talking about how easy it was to change over to e-cigs. But if not, don’t get discouraged. I have tried other ways to quit and failed, I believe the e-cig is the best shot for many long-term smokers like you and me.

Thanks for all of your input. I ended up ordering both the pen style and the 901 mini with a couple of juices so I can try them out and see what I like. Even if these help me cut down on my analogs, I will be happy. I'm really beliveing in the concept though and am hoping for the best.
