Traditonally, I think the 901 is considered the best for a first purchase. Nice and cheap, everyone sells them, parts are ubiquitous, and it's easy to refill/drip.

I will state for the record though, that after recieving my M401, I haven't touched my 901 again. The M401/402 are just so much smaller in diameter that I find them more "natural" feeling in my hand. Couple that with the very impressive battery life and throat hit, and I have my fav e-cig for the car and social situations.

On the other hand, I also have a variety of devices I use throughout thoughout the day so I'm not beating it up to badly. If I could have only 1, it would prolly be a 901.
