I just ordered my first e-cig today from Puresmoker.com and i just wanted to know a few things before it gets here?? One is i saw videos of ppl exhailing the vapor... is that really safe to use around my children? Does it have any byproducts in the vapor that is unhealthy? my next question is my mini is comes with regular carts and i want to use my cherry e-juice so how do i put it in my mini.. can i put it directly on my cartridge and how much should i use?

As for the safety Im a newbie and i dont know. I DO know its a healthier option than smoking though. There are claims but until something is published and reviewed by independants...Im waiting for that but im sceptical of anything at the moment due to so many people out there hoping its worse than smoking. For me this is tantamount to laser eye surgery.

I have a daughter and i won't use it around her simply because its still a bad influence and smoking in my eyes. Some see it differently i know though, old habits etc.

As for the dripping methods etc there is a sticky at the top of this forum with vid tutorials. Also some more at puresmoker.com.

I have to agree with Jedi that the more important thing is to avoid smoking or vaping in front of your children.

I smoked analogs in front of my son and tried to brainwash him against smoking and he was fanatical about me quitting smoking, swearing he would never smoke...until he reached his teens. (Now I'm trying to get HIM off the analogs. )

So aside from the health risks of the vapor, I would say that not modeling the behavior for them is more important. Just my two cents.

    Good luck!

I didn't smoke around my kids nor do I vape around them. I do vape in the house now though, just not with my kids in the same room.

It is becase of my parents smoking that I started. They quit right around the time I started.

With regards to how dangerous the vapor is and if there is any ill side effects, there is no documented evidence or testing one way or the other.

You can either drip a couple of drops directly onto the atomizer or you can refill your cartridges. When refilling a cartrige, you just drip several drops onto the fiberous pad. I usually drip about 6 to 8 drops in the cartridge to fill it up. I try to stay away from having standing liquid in the cartridge.

yeah i have never smoked around my children... cause i picked up the bad habit from a lot of my relatives smoking around me when I was younger... So you guys made a good point that even if it is safe the principle is still there.. plus going outside for those few minutes is my little break during the day I just wanted to say that Steve from puresmoker rocks... i wrote him two e-mails and he got back to me pretty fast and answered all my questions.. if i do like e-smoking i think i will be a loyal customer to him

I'm inclined to say that it's safer than analog smoke, but that's a far cry from saying it's safe. I don't think at this point that anyone truly knows for sure.

PG vapor itself is harmless enough, but we know that there is nicotine and flavoring in there as well and they are really the unknowns in the vapor. I seriously doubt that there are high enough concentrations of them to pose any second hand threat, but until testing is done we just can't know for sure and it's just guessing.

First question, is it safe to vape around the kids. I can't say for sure but I believe it would be more safe then the analogs. If you notice cigarette smoke tends to hang around forever, eventually if clings to your ceiling or curtains in your house. The vapor doesn't do that. I dissipates into the air. I tend to hold the vapor in my lungs and very little or no vapor is visible when I exhale.

I also notice a poster here, Ledford, has a bird. I believe most birds are sensitive to smoke. He does lots of reviews on youtube vaping like crazy around the bird. Maybe he or another bird owner will jump in.

As for using a different juice in your cartages. Once you get the thing you will find it is not hard. In the mouthpiece there is a small square of polyester. Use tweezers to pull it out and then rinse it, and the mouthpiece in warm water. Let it dry completely. Water gets trapped in the small crevices of of the mouthpiece so blow or tap on it. When it's all dry use the tweezers to put the polyester back in, drip the new liquid onto the polyester and your ready to go.

Edit to add-with the e-cig you wont get the smoky room effect. It just keeps disappearing no matter how much you puff.
