Default Anybody got some facts about silica and health?

Wondering if anyone can find anything wrong with using silica wicks for health reasons. Or maybe just an argument for using cotton.

Cotton tastes better to me. Silica is inert and won't generally burn at the temperatures a device produces, so no real health concerns.

Thnx. Mainly concerned about inhaling little pieces that inevitably flake off during use. Especially from flavor wicks on protank style coils.

If you use the search feature you will find several good threads about silica and health concerns.

The bulk of what I read indicated that silica was not an issue due to particle size and other factors. There was one great article posted in a thread by an ex OSHA inspector.
