Strangely i have just noticed in the last week that i get dry lips and strange sores inside my mouth, not on the outside like for cold sores. I thought it was because of the cold. It's been below freezing here in detroit for about a week.

I haven't had any mouth ulcers, but I do notice my teeth sometimes hurt when I vape.

...maybe I just need to see my dentist more than once a year.

I have not smoked in a long time (see my sig for days =) and I always have at least one ulcer on my tongue since vaping. They hurt, but are just mostly annoying since I cannot have any spicy or acidic food =(

For those who might be interested....my son-in-law had a mouth sore that just would not go away so I found this stuff called Prevention at Walgreens (in the toothpaste/mouthwash aisle). It is an antibacterial mouth rinse, containing zinc and hydrogen peroxide.

It says it "helps fight herpes virus and thrush, and helps heal mouth sores". He said it didn't burn and everything healed right up.

Might work on these, if interested in trying.

I've been vaping for 2 weeks now, and the last 4 or 5 days my teeth have been aching and the roof of my mouth right behind my top teeth is swelled.

Not sure if this is from vaping or not...

My teeth have hurt too...but it seems to come and go. Not sure if it's the vaping or not either.

When I quit temporarily a while ago, I went to the dentist because my gums were bleeding, swollen. He said that nicotine and the other crap in cigs decrease blood flow to the mouth, and when you stop the blood flow increases again, causing any issues you may have with plaque or gum disease, to trigger gum swelling and eventually bleeding.

Since this time around, Ive had the ulcers too, but less so than before quitting cold turkey, and less gum inflamation as well. So Im assuming the lack of crap in e-cigs makes it flare up a bit, but the continuing of nicotine keeps it from getting as bad as it was before.

Not a doctor, not sure, just my thoughts.

When I was younger I used to get mouth ulcers due to stress. One method I used was wetting the tip of my finger, dipping it in some table salt, and applying it directly to the mouth ulcer. Smarts a bit, but from what I can remember, it helped a lot.

Time to see your dentist I think. That sounds like it could be an abscess.

I have a couple of ulcers which have come up today in pretty much the same place Tex explains and assumed it was from vaping yesterday more than I usually would and pulling harder on my e-cig than I would with an analogue ciggy. I'll gargle with some diluted hydrogen peroxide tonight and hopefully that'll help clear them up.
