Default Heavy smoker looking for a "durable" e-cig

First off, hello! I'm very glad to see this place exists.

Ok, when I say "heavy smoker", what I mean is I take a lot of drags off an analog cigarette, usually long ones, so I'm looking for something that will take that kind of "abuse"

I currently have an npro which has a burnt out atomizer, and apparently wasn't designed for smokers like me (getting liquid in my mouth, atomizer heating up, and wimpy ass, over-priced cartridges).

I bought it because it looks more like an actual cigarette, but now since it is broken (dead atomizer, or perhaps I screwed up the "microprocessor by over dripping), I'm looking for one that will accomodate my e-smoking needs, whatever style it may be, but preferably one that leans towards the mini, or npro style.

I'm very enthusiastic about this, but am very inexperienced, and to add to that the npro "owners manual" has very little to say about teqnique, cleaning and care. Man, I am so bummed.

Do I hit it to hard, am I not cleaning it properly? Can eJuice really screw up the batteries?

In the dark, upset, but hopeful there is some advice someone here can give me.

I live in kentucky btw, just so you know where I live.

    thanks a bunch

sounds like your smoking too fast and overheating it. unfortunately, you cant "power" smoke ecigs. i take a few hits then let it cool down, then take a few more.also, if you smoke fast, the liquid wont wick to the atomizer fast enough, and smoking a dry atomizer will kill it, so top off often. as far as i know, this is true of all ecigs. you can get ones with bigger batteries and carts, but you'll still dry out and overheat it if you dont let it cool every 5 puffs or so.mine are about a month old, and i have never cleaned them, and they still work great. it can be annoying though...sneaking a smoke break at work can take 15 mins because of the cooling/wicking process.

Default I'd reccomend you try a DSE-901 mini.

To tell the truth, pretty much all of them are at least durable enough to suck hard on and for long drags. I don't think it died because you were too hard on it. Maybe you vaped it dry, instead. It's easy to do with those tiny super-mini cartridges. That's why most beginner e-smokers move on to larger models.

I reccomend the 901 for a beginning user. It is cheap, reliable, and while not the best vapor producer out there, it produces a good satisfying amount of vapor. On a scale of one to five, where the best e-cigs are a 5 for vapor, the 901 is a 3 or sometimes a 4.

It's a little bigger than your Npro, but not as big as a Classic Penstyle. And it can give you a good introduction to the basic techniques of e-smoking like refilling cartridges, dripping or dry-smoking, vaping techniques, and so on.

Here's my Video Demo of my 5 Favorite e-cigs. The 901 is number four.

Read the blog post for reccomended suppliers.

    Hey thanks guys!

I think maybe I just need to adjust my smoking technique as jimgman said. Also, thanks for the tips on cleaning out batteries.

Leaford, thanks for the videos! they are very informative and unbiased which is great to see, since a lot of companies info can be misleading. I really and truly appreciate your advice.

    thanks again,

I did the same thing you did... went looking for the device that most closely replicated an actual cigarette in appearance, and ended up with an Njoy Npro. I soon discoverd the vapor production and the length of draw the battery would allow was inadequate for my needs.

I think it's safe to say most new vapers get over the "looks like a cigarette thing" pretty quickly.

For a heavy smoker I'd recommend Trog's ScrewDriver. It's a sturdy dse901-based device with a powerful battery and is a demon on vapor production. The manual button operation allows you to preheat a bit before you start dragging and lets you take as long a hit as you'd like.

Travo7 welcome to the forum. I am also from Kentucky. Nice to meet another from KY.
I have a screwdriver and it is a very good e-cig. Had to order from the UK. Trog is the seller and he sells them on Ebay. I have several e-cigs and some I don't like and others are good. Puresmoker sells a pen-ecig that I like. I bought this APC Powerpack and it is wonder with this e-cig. Been using for 12 hours and not have to charge it. Lots of vapor and to me this is GREAT! Anyway good luck on finding a good e-cig. Read this forum and the people here will point you in the right direction. This is a great forum.

I would say take a look at the Janty Dura also. It holds more liquid in the cartridge. There are some video reviews by Parked here on this forum.

That's just my .02 cents as I am new here also and trying out the different styles now myself.

I know you mean well dude but unregistered suppliers CANNOT post in the new members area. This isn't a sales area.
