Hi everyone. My name is Joe Midgett (6'4" midgett at that, lol) I live in Hickory, NC. I have been a moderately heavy smoker for 20+ years. I did quit one time for 6 years and like an idiot would take a drag or two of my wife's cig from time to time. Which led to me smoking all over again. I have been trying to quit many times in the last few years without much success. I just ordered the DSE901 e-cig and extra cartridges and extra atomizer. I am very hopeful that this will do the trick to rid me of the tobacco. If it does I will try out many of the different flavors available. Just wondering what some of you guys favourite flavors are?
I imagine I will be chiming in frequently for help and support. Thanks for your ear, or rather your eyes in this case.

Hi Joe--welcome. Looks like you made a good choise with the 901!! As far as flavors go--it is way to subjective a topic as we have found here. What some like--others think are not so good. Your best bet is to get a couple of sample packs from www.puresmoker.com and www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com and give them both a run for their money. As Sun Vaporer says it very subjective, I hate some flavours others have raved about and love others ha-ha I find it weird vaping fruit flavours as just want a near cigarette taste but you may like them? Just don`t buy big bottles like I have in the past to find you don't like them after 2 drops It becomes an expensive trial and error that way!

Hi, Joe . . . welcome to the club.

I hope that you find e-smoking as successful as I have. I was a 2+ pack a day smoker for 30 years, and I picked up an e-cig on 1/27 and had my last tobacco cigarette on the 29th. Hadn't even really intended to quit, just cut back, but I found that quitting was relatively painless.

I totally agree with the sentiment that taste varies considerably. I tried the Janty rum, and I thought it was beyond terrible. I just read a post from someone else raving about it. Go figure.

My personal favorite right now is coffee, both Janty and PureSmoker brands. I also like Janty's French MLB when I'm in the mood for a tobacco taste.

Ditto the suggestion that you order some sample packs. It's a great way to try some different flavors without dropping big bucks on a large bottle that you decide tastes nasty.

By the way, I'm a fellow Tarheel, transplanted to St. Louis and very much missing REAL BBQ, not this Kansas City garbage. Actually, I guess I shouldn't really call myself a Tarheel since I root for Duke.

I'm new to vaping, and my one big piece of advice to you is to make a commitment to not smoking analogs.

Crazy as it may seem, I've been doing really well all week, but had a stressful night and got up this morning and bought a pack of analogs (vaping on the way to get them), and so far I've had about 6 analogs today (and vaped). I did throw the pack out the window on the way to work, but dammit, I thought I had the little buggers licked.

So, yeah, beware that tobacco gremlin in your head. He's an ingenious, lieing little bastard.
