Default Funny things with the transition... :)

So, I started smoking the e-cigs just to show my b/f that I appreciated the gift (from smoking everywhere... there was a booth set up).... I had mentioned to him before I was interested in them for my next business trip (hate airports, non-smoking hotels, etc, etc)...

Since then, I've really become hooked to these things. Even ventured to the mall for some more cartridges (the mall is *amost* as evil as wal-mart...) Now have a new e-cig on the way from the devil-ish store - forgot the name - and some more juices on the way from the other store everyone loves (CaSH?) so, I'm anxiously awaiting those deliveries... When I say anxiously, its like when I have four cigs left in a regular pack and its 3am and I know I'm going to have to go the dang store again and its freezing but if I don't have them I will panic and blow up the world. So... hopefully, shipping is fast

Anyway ... when I do anything, I do it 100%, including smoking. That means I smoke when I drive, when I read, when I cook, when I'm doing my make-up, when I'm done having sex, when I'm almost done having sex (kidding.... sort-of).... So there are a lot of ingrained habits with the smoking...

I'm standing in the kitchen, cooking dinner (crawfish etoufee'... yummy) and I'm puffing away at my e-cig, same as I would be with a regular one... Then I lay it down to do some stirring and I realize I've put the "cherry" off the edge of the counter since the ashtray was so far away! LOL

Then I'm driving down the road, reach into my purse for my e-cig and proceed to let the window down an inch... LOL

Run to the store later to realize I've packed my e-cig and a lighter he he he ...

    These blonde moments, I swear

I still have my "regular" cigs close by... and two more packs fresh (just bought a carton two days before the gift)...

Wonder if I will ever smoke them...

    Rita

We are hoping you never touch those cigarettes again--I have 2 cartons left from 3 months ago when I started vaping and gave them the Boot--I do not know why I keep them around--security I guess??????????Sun

Same 'security' here... a few loose (full, packed into closed plasticbag to stay fresh) boxes always near to me - and half a carton wrapped up in a cupboard... and only now, a full year further down the road from where I started, I'm just about ready to throw them out for real ...
Somehow for me it made it easier, having them always close by me, to not touch them... guess all people are different eh (and in fact I never did touch them, after those few pulls on one three days into e-smoking, when I had only broken gear... ewhhh, that taste...)

Good going Ritalee! Just do what you think is best for you - to keep you away from the analogues that is.

I'm very similiar. I have an unopened pack of analogs sitting in my car just in case. I'm just waiting for the day that I run out of battery or juice when I'm out on the town. What will I do? Wait till I get home or smoke an analog? Time will tell I guess...

Rita, i have a carton of my analogs here and haven't even reached for -- in the 6 days i have been using my e-cig. i have been tempted a bit, just to see if i miss them ...but i don't want to dissapoint myself by doing so, so the carton is collectiong dust not a bad thing...but i still wonder what it would be like! I surley DON'T miss the smell...or the little "ash turds" i used to find all over the house and in the car!
    keep up the good work

It's good to hear you are all doing so well.

I gave my tobacco stash to a friend to get it out of the house. When you are ready to get rid of your tobacco think about giving it away to someone in need, maybe a homeless person or something, rather than wasting it.

    Default gross smokes

I had my atomizer fail on Friday and immediately ordered some spares. On Sunday, my worst fear was realized when my backup atomizer failed and I was left e-cigless until Wednesday! Since I still have about half a pack of smokes lying around I tried to smoke one but was UNABLE to. It was the strangest experience to me. I wanted to smoke SOOO badly but when I lit the regular cigarette, the taste was so awful I couldn't smoke it! Do others have similar experiences?

Michael, It's been only 14 days since I started vaping. Today was the first time I forgot the damn charger at home and noticed that when I was just arriving at my office (40 minutes from my place). I almost drove back to get it! Instead, I decided to buy a pack of analogs... I tried to smoke them twice, but the tasting was so disgusting that I kept saving my DSE 901 batt all the afternoon (a few small puffs every now and then) in order to avoid lighting another analog!

I haven't had a cigarette since I started vaping, but I keep thinking maybe I ought to have one strictly for demonstration purposes. To remind me exactly how much smoke a typical drag produces, and compare it directly to some of my favorite e-cigs.

But hearing stories about how foul it tastes now to people who have switched... Well, I haven't gotten up the courage to try it yet.

When I tell people about my experience of trying an analog 5 days after using e-cigs, they think I am putting them on! It was like smoking a dirty gym sock or something of that nature. Ugh! Yuk, Yuk!

I think that is why I haven't had any urges for analogs. I had to laugh at Ritalee, because I find myself rolling down the window in the car still as well as kind of doing the "stand downwind of the non-smoker dance" that I used to do.
