Well, I feel like I should give a word of defense for my beloved Dura.
No, it is not cheap. On the other hand, it comes with a pretty good warranty--6 months for the atomizer and 3 months for the battery, which ain't bad. And since they are out of stock until the 14th (noted on the website), they're offering a pretty hefty discount for preorders--$58.95, and that includes 2 atomizers and 2 batteries. But, yes, when you have to pay for replacement batteries and atomizers when the warranties run (3 and 6 months respectively), you'll take a hit . . . but even so, those replacements will be guaranteed for 3 and 6 months.
Also, I've not had any customer service issues. Jeff seems quick to respond. I just got an order last week and had an issue with an atomizer for my Kissbox that died on Day 2--emailed Jeff, and I got a same-day response.
I will say, though, that when ordering from Janty, it makes sense to place a BIG order and not order in dribs and drabs. The s/h is $6 or $12 depending on what you order, and then there's a $6 PayPal surcharge (but you get $5 worth of carts if you pay with PayPal and spend a certain amount--can't remember how much).
For me, the Dura is worth the $.

Yeah, it's important to take warranties into account when working out value for money. If an atomiser costs $10 and you have to pay to replace it once a month it costs a lot more than paying for one $25 atomiser every six months.

I don't know about Janty's return policy but i am assuming that they will not pay for the shipping incurred when you return an atomiser.
If i change an $8 atomiser every month for 6 months, my cost is $48. FYI, my $8 atomiser has been going strong after more than 2 months.
If i buy a Janty atomiser at $23.50 and return it every month, incurring lets say $5 for shipping each time, my cost is $53.50 plus my personal time and waiting time. Shipping can also be higher depending on location and distance. Of course, i'm not saying that it will break every month. Just a one to one comparison to the above.
Its still cheaper and minus the hassle of emailing anyone, wrapping anything, posting it at the office, waiting and hoping Janty receives and processes it to finally receiving the replacement. I just pop a new one and throw the old one away.
Again, this is totally up to individual preferences. I'm not trying to force my buying patterns on anyone. Just my plain assessment of the matter. A brand name will always have an appeal.

Merus, it's the Chinese New Years holiday. No restocking for what, a month? He should be restocking soon.
Golden, I don't have a review up of the Dura yet, but I am evaluating it now, and I reviewed the 401, which is the Pilot's model, a couple months back. Between the two, I'd definitely go for the Pilot. So far, I just don't see why people are so impressed with the Dura. On a scale of 1 to 5 for vapor production, I'd put the Dura at a 3 at best, and a 401 is a 4.
Go for the Pilot when it's back in stock. And use coupon code LEAFORD for 5% off.

Cage, I have two original Dura atomizers, and one clone, and all three perform identically.
Compared to a 901, I'd say it's pretty much even. I am doing comparisons with a Joye-306, a 901 clone, and sometimes one wins, sometimes the other.
But I also have a RN-4075, the 901 clone that many of us originally mistook for a true 901, and which made the 901's reputation for penstyle-like vapor, and that beats the Dura consistently.
Sadly, I don't have a working 401 right this moment, but it performed at a 4, equal to a RN4075, or most penstyles.
Seeing is believing, though, and you'll see in a week or so. Hopefully.

Hmmm . . . well, I'm surprised about your assessment of the Dura, Leaford. However, I do know that you have far more experience with many different products than I do, and I certainly respect your opinion as being more informed than mine.
I personally think the Dura puts out more vapor than my Kissbox and DSE901 (PureSmoker), but the real difference is that the vapor seems somewhat heavier to me, a bit more "umph," if you will. In order to get the same "umph" factor (for lack of a better word), I have to drip smoke with my DSE901 with no filter.
My Kissbox has a very smooth vape, goes down nice and easy with lots of flavor. I like it a lot, and I love the ease of being able to vape with the USB at my computer--plus the manual switch. However, it still doesn't seem to pack the punch that the Dura does, and it is the Dura that I reach for when I start missing my analogs.
I'm wondering whether those of us who have more recently quit tobacco tend to like a harsher feel to the vapor. Maybe over time I'll start to truly appreciate a smoother vape and feel less drawn to a harsher vape.
Or maybe I'm totally wet.
Wouldn't be the first time.
