That's true Yvilla, however there are trade-offs. One could also frame it by bashing the liquid sellers who for the most part are content to make money selling us who knows what untested unlabeled poison in a bottle from China. One could also frame it by noting that Njoy is instead spending their time trying to get ecigs into Target and Walgreens and Costco and casinos and maybe Walmart which might be the tipping place to have this product accepted rather than banned in the U.S.A.

I don't like their cart prices either, and also wish they would do a better job on selling parts overall. I understand what you are saying and I appreciate the other sellers very much who are vapers like we are (or so they say). But Njoy is the company really taking the risks that will get us to legitimacy, or at least the one that stepped up to the plate in the big way, first.

For a new e-cig buyer, I would not be ashamed to recommend a pen-style device from Puresmoker.com or NJOY. Both products are primarily the same, likely made in the same Chinese manufacturing plant. The pen-style has a larger cartridge meaning more puffs per fill. If you are a voracious vaper, as I am, you may smoke up to four cartridges per day and use up to 5 batteries. This can get expensive in the short term to tool up for your habit. Then you have to consider the cost savings of refilling your spent cartridges as a way to 1) save money and 2) smoke a flavor you like. In the long run, not smoking analogs (if this is your primary goal) is priceless. Eventually, when you quit analogs - which I have not yet done - you should see a savings if you decide to vape from now on.

Jamie, I certainly hear you regarding the steps being taken to get into the big retailers/mainstream; that's one thing about NJoy that I am watching closely.

However, they are selling the same "untested unlabeled poison" from China, but in their carts! So that doesn't fly at all.

HAHAHA I wondered if you were going to say that! So here is what I say to "make it fly" By not offering whatever liquids and carts from whatever suppliers based on maybe lowest prices or requested flavors, they have a more controlled stock. And according to Kit the journalist it sounds like they have some hand at the factory too. So I do think IN THEORY they are being more conservative in this arena.

How's that?

Thanks again for all the info...I'm now many steps closer to ordering...just doing a little more research on where to make the purchase

FYI: about the Njoy thing, I don't know enough about this to contribute to that conversation, I will say NJOY is how I found out about this whole E-smoking thing and even how I stumbled accross this forum

On the way to my job in New Jersey there's a Pilot truck stop/gas station near clinton NJ (route 173 w) which has a huge NJOY display case right at the checkout counter...Then I started researching that....if not for that incident, I would have never even known E-ciggs existed

Well thanks again, all the info here so far has been a HUGE help

I know what you mean . . . it can be overwhelming.

I have a Janty Dura, a DSE901 (PureSmoker), a Pilot (Puresmoker), and a Janty Kissbox.

I agree that the 901 is often touted as a good starter e-cig. Part of the reason is it's been around long enough that most of the bugs have been worked out. It's larger than a traditional cigarette, but smaller than the penstyles . . . people starting off with e-smoking often intially prefer something smaller, more reminiscent of an analog (the "cute" name for tobacco cigarettes).

I started with the Dura then added the DSE901 as a backup. Thank goodness I did, because the Dura (a newer design) started having issues after a couple of weeks. I would have been dead in the water without my 901. The Dura is an awesome "smoke," but along with a new design comes the almost inevitable bugs.

I have since added a Janty Kissbox into the mix, not necessarily because I'm not happy with the 901, but because I wanted to try something different. The Kissbox produces a much smoother vape. Vaping the same liquid in my Kissbox and my 901, they taste very different. I can really taste it with the Kissbox. With the 901, the taste isn't as rich, but the vapor often feels harsher (which is something I like because I sometimes miss the harshness of cigarettes). Thus, when I get a strong urge for an analog, I reach for my 901, not the Kissbox.

So I don't know if people necessarily "upgrade," as much as want to try new and different things.

For the cartridges versus liquid debate, I fall squarely in the middle. I do use cartridges, but I find that after a very short time, even with liquid still left in the cartridge, the quality of the vapor degenerates for me. Thus, I top off the cartridge often with liquid so that I get the feeling of a full cart.

Good luck and check back to let us know what you've decided to do. You'll find so much information and support on this forum.

OK, I'm finally ready to order...just a few quick questions as to what I need

I plan to order the following:

Pocket Mini ECigarette Kit (DSE901)

it comes with:

1 x Atomiser (Matte White Exterior)

2 x Rechargable Batteries (Matte White Exterior with an Orange LED)

1 x Battery Charger

1 x USA Plug

5 x Assorted Strength Cartridges[Orange Cartridges]

1 x English User Manual

I was also going to order the following

2 extra atomizers (I hear this is the part that fails the most)

1 extra battery (should I get two?)

2 extra USB chargers (one for work, one for home)

1 car charger for emergencies

5 ml injector syringe

Extra cartridges & cores? (this is still slightly confusing to me), Since I'll be using juice do I just get the Cores then? About how many times can they be refilled before they are no good? I'm wondering how many I should get, I'd like to be set for 2 months with whatever the vaping equivalent of 15 analogs a day is

E Juice:
I'm ordeirng from puresmoker dot com as it seems to get a pretty good rep on these forums, however, they are currently out of stock of everything I'm trying and when I clicked on their support link I got the following message

* Please note, that if you are contacting us regarding a product option not being available (drop down not letting you select color/strength/etc...) It means we are out of stock. Our website is live and stays current 100% of the time for your convenience.

So does anyone know another reputable sight that has good deals and quality as far as E-juice goes?

One more question, it may sound stupid...but is there a difference in the colors, like white/black/stainless steel

What I mean is does whatever they use to coat/paint it with chip, get bubbly from heat? if so, better to get the stainless steel or is it no difference at all?

Thanks for reading,

2 extra USB chargers (one for work, one for home)

Instead of getting chargers, I'd get USB passthrough batteries. This will allow you to vape without worrying about batteries while a USB power source is available.

If you're going to be out and about a lot, then I'd have 3 regular batteries. Otherwise, two would be sufficient in my mind.

With the DSE901, the syringe isn't all that big a deal. I refill simply by dripping on top of the cartridge with my bottle of eliquid.

I'd pick up two 10 ml bottles of juice. You can get a better price if you get a larger bottle, but it's no fun to buy a large bottle of something you don't like. I hear PureSmoker is in the process of restocking, so maybe they'll have more options when you place your order.

Johnson Creek has a nice sample pack of juices. They're small bottles, but they last a surprising amount of time. In any event, it's a nice way to sample some different flavors. Not everyone loves Johnson Creek, but I do. Then again, I also love many of the PureSmoker eliquids, as well as Janty. Lots of choices out there. I would not, however, rely solely on the Johnson Creek sample package as the ONLY eliquid I ordered. Most people find that they vape a lot in the first week or two.

Cartridges aren't so big a deal if you order eliquid . . . you can just top off your existing carts with the eliquid.

Hope this helps.

Forgot to add that, no, there really isn't a big difference in the colors. I personally don't like the black and white shiny look. Just looks kind of cheap to me, and it doesn't feel as nice. I prefer black matte or stainless steel. But that is simply an aesthetic issue. I have a shiny black one, and I've noticed no problems with the paint.
