Another option for cutting that seems to be way cheaper in my area (perhaps because of all the farm business here) is PG from TSC.

Tractor Supply Company - Dionne Keotosis Treatment Gallon Cattle Medicine

The web says $23.99, but my local store carries it for $18.73 per gallon with sales tax.

Also, I think there was an issue with the butter flavors (not sure if butter rum is affected by this) and a chemical called diacetyl (?) that causes lung issues.

Tomorrow it's off to Wal-Mart for me to see if they have my flavors, as our Michael's doesn't and we don't really have any specialty shops here.

EDIT: TSC here also carried syringes for mixing and cart filling -- they are the only place I have found locally for 16g 2" needles.

interesting note though, i found a bottle of glycerine with the soap making crafts too. it says 100% vegetable based glycerine, but DOES NOT list the ingredients, nor any health facts (the Wilton brand lists calories, fat, protein, etc: nutrition facts). also the one for soap says "not for consumption."

however...its a bigger 8oz bottle for about $3! since it doesn't say what the ingredients are though i wouldn't want to try it.

just funny if it's the exact same thing...
First, I ended up in this thread because I was searching for the dilemna of find the Something Fabulous brand, for soap, Glycerin and the Wilton's at Hobby Lobby. They have different consistencies and there is NO information on the SF brand, which seems to be made by Hobby Lobby. Their website at endless-poss.com seems to redirect you to Hobby Lobby. The bottle actually says, "All natural glycerin is 100% vegetable base." and then further down, it says "WARNING: Not edible. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets."

I'm not really sure about this SF brand. I do searches and I just get a bunch of responses on people mixing crap for their hair. For now, I'm just going to mix the Wiltons at a 6 to 1 ratio with distilled water and use it for mixing.

As far as the butter rum is concerned; There was a post that indicated asking them if they had that chemical in any of their flavors and they assured that they did not. Butter rum seems to be soluble in water, according to the great chart of which flavors are okay and why that I found in these forums, but does have a coloring added to it. The color has not been proven to cause any problems, but it is worth mentioning. Butter happens to be one of the 13 that are mentioned to have absolutely no issues at all and is great to mix if you find a recipe.

Best website I've found to explain safety and ingredients for Lorann's flavors, but it limits them quite a bit. I'd rather know to much that too little though.

    exogenesis.co.uk/Loranne1.htm

    Hope this helps.

Still curious about that SF brand though. It's sitting in front of me and it's such a nice viscosity. I'm really tempted to use it.
