Dripping is not dropping eliquid onto your cartridge (cart). That's what we call topping off.
Dripping is when you take 1 or 2 drops of your eliquid, and drip directly onto the wire bridge in the atomizer. This primes the atomizer and gives you great flavor in your vape. Although, there are some schools of though that think this kills an atty....
