I have a tobacco cig every three or four days ....almost for no other reason than being fascinated by the fact that I am not going up the walls when I am not having one... they certainly don't 'taste' very good any more...but strangely they 'do' seem to give me a very dizzy high as if I hadn't had any nicotine for a long time (it is thought that it could be lack of oxygen or the other chemicals in tobacco).........but the thing I love is that having one doesn't get me hooked back on tobacco.....I can go back to vaping with ease.

I have been tobacco free for 3 weeks now and I did try an analog about 5 days after I started vaping and OMG it was awful! I took four drags because I couldn't believe how bad it tasted after only 5 days. I put it out and pulled out my NCig and have been happily vaping ever since.

I have not had any urges for a regular cigarette since I started. The only thing that was hard for me was that I kept feeling like I had to go outside to use my e-cig. I was almost restless, so I finally gave in and went out in the frigid cold for about 2 minutes to vape on my NCig and I got over that restless feeling after that.

My Father is a very stubborn 84 year old Norwegian who has smoked all his life. He has COPD and I thought several times that his coughing was going to kill him. I gave him a NCig two days after I started mine. Guess what?? He has been tobacco free for three weeks today! Now that is a miracle and I am so proud of him. He says he is feeling fine and not having any strong urges. His coughing is soooo much better and he is not feeling deprived at all. He still has 6 cartons of analogs in his bottom dresser drawer that he has not touched!

Now there is a testimony of how well electronic cigarettes work!

I"ll echo everyone else's sentiments...Ease into it. It will take time for your tastebuds to adjust to the flavor of the juice vs the analogs and also to get used to the consistency of the vapor vs the smoke.

I bought my first e-cig in June and didn't smoke my last analog until November.

Took a puff off of hubby's analog last week for giggles....Blechh! They taste terrible.

Take your time. Find the device that suits you best and the juice flavor and strength that you like. You're lucky because there are more sample juices available to try and a variety of device options that weren't available when I started with my Njoy.

    Good Luck!

PS: Also, try not smoking in your usual places, i.e., your desk, watching tv, etc. Make vaping the new habit. Make smoking an analog a pain in the hinder.

Just got my 901 a few hours ago. So far, no urge to have an analog. (Kind of a shock, honestly!) Probably the hardest thing to adjust to so far is the drag technique, as it's definitely a bit different.

I started vaping on monday and have smoked about 4-5 cigarettes since then. This is down from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 packs a day. That's a FRIGGIN MIRACLE!!

I think the only reason I smoked them was because I can't really believe that this is working... Normally I would have been CLIMBING THE WALLS. I'm still in the "go outside mode" if that makes sense.

I say don't sweat it. Any decrease in smoking is progress!

tomorrow at ten am will be three days and so far I've had on and a half normal cigarettes

I feel like a cheater but then I smoked two packs a day for years and years. Not too bad.
