Battery question for a Novice.

Wow, so happy to be able to post somewhere on this site.

Okay, when people say a charged battery lasts 4-5 hours, do they mean after you start using it>? Or it just lasts that long period after it`s been re-charged?

Asking because we often take trips to the mainland which involves a fifteen hour day back and forth. So if I take 3 charged batteries and only use one at a time till it is depleted, will the other 2 last me for the whole trip? About 4.5 hours of this journey is spent on a ferry.

I think what people mean, and from my experience, is that a battery will last around 4 to 5 hours of actual use - I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I think in your situation I'd be tempted to take along a fourth battery, just in case.

Either my battereis are just weak/bad or they really do not last very long. My limited experience has led me to believe that even 4 hours is not generally possible with a battery. I only have two batteries right now and I run through both of them in less than one day of waking hours. I need to recharge one of them to make it through the day. I think a lot has to do with how heavily you use you e-cig device. I puff fairly heavily (2-3 cartridges per day) and would feel more comfortable with a total of four batteries and two charges to keep them fully charged.

What you would like a lot I think is a battery-pack. Either one to smoke from directly; or at least one with which you can reload your batteries while on the move.

I would suggest getting a USB passthrough battery and battery pack. The APC power pack lasts me about a day and a half and I vape constantly.

How long the battery will last you it depends on how often you take a "puff"........ As to the second part of your question...
A fully charged battery, stored properly (cool dry place) , if unused is almost (90%-95% charged ) even a week later....LI-ION batteries do not loose their charge easy...
In your situation a USB PASSTROUGH BATTERY would be a wise purchase.

Thanks for your reply. I have an Extended KB on order which comes with a USB pass-though and a cable to use in the car. Both very excellent additions to the package. Tell me more about using the APC power pack or please provide a link so I can read up on this. BTW, I probably ought to adopt your statement, "I vape constantly", and use it as my signature.
