Hi all My name is Barb I am so glad to have found this forum. I have just started looking at the E smoking products and am getting all kinds of conflicting information from web sites. I am seriously going to have to stop smoking this time. pack and a half a day 25 years. My significant other has been diagnosed with restrictive lung disease due to chemo therapy damage. Has 28% lung functioning. We have O2 in the house now for when he needs it so no smoking in the house or around him. I've just been back from my Dr's office and have another bronchial infection and got the lecture about needing to quit. I smoke when I'm stressed and between his illness, my health problems and a stressful job I smoke alot. Imagine that! I've tried swedish chew couldn't handle that. I've tried the gum and that just didn't do it either I guess it's just the whole lightening up thing that helps to calm my nerves so when I found out about e smoking I thought thats for me! Unfortantly everything I'm reading points to all kinds of manufacturing defects so I am really looking forward to hearing from users what really works. |

Hi Barb, welcome to the forum. I hope vaping works for you, many of us like it better than smoking but some still get cravings. This is a good place to start - Helpful links and videos for a new user. |

Hello to all. I am Glenn. Originally from South Texas now stuck in the Black Hole that is Memphis. I just purchased an e-cig on ebay that is the smoking everywhere brand (3.0) and am anxious to try it. I also spoke to one of the people at the company about me possibly distributing them. I'll have to see if the e-cig I buy is any good before I go around hawking my wares.

Hello all, This is my first post here, I just learned about e-cigs a few days ago. I've been smoking for the past 8 years or so, up to a pack a day, and once I heard about these things I had to know more. After hanging out here for a few days and reading up on it, I can definitely say that I want to try it out. I hate the smell/taste/health affects of smoking, but I love the act of smoking itself, so these seem perfect. I do have a few questions that I haven't seen answers to here, so without knowing a better place to put them, I think I'll just ask them here until told otherwise. 1. How do the vapors themselves taste? I've never liked the way tobacco smoke tastes, and I'm hoping the flavored cartridges taste the way they should, and don't just have a scented exhale. 2. What have your experiences been with the e-cig case? I've read that the liquid can drip out into the felt and leave a residue along the entire unit, is there a remedy for this? Maybe keeping a cover over it? 3. I'm getting into DJing, and I've read that loud noise and bass can cause both the atomizer and battery to turn on. I've also read hints of a new model that can be "switched on" to avoid this? Can anybody confirm this, or is there anybody else with a similar situation that has found a solution? 4. Has anybody tried using the nicotine patch in conjunction with a 0-nicotine cartridge, or know of somebody who has? I'm very happy that this forum exists and that I was able to find it, everybody here seems very nice and eager to help. Again, sorry if this is in the wrong area, I'll be more than happy to repost this in the right section if need be. I'm pretty sure I'll order my first kit in the next few days, I'm thinking either the Pilot or DSE901 from Puresmoker.com, or the DSE901 from Truevapor.com. Thanks for all the help you've given so far. |

Hi LivetheChoice, welcome to the forum. Posting on the new members board will probably get you more response. The DSE901 is a good device to start with. |
