Default Need help in ordering - have breast cancer - need to quit..

I am 40 yo female, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in early Dec. I started smoking again during my first chemo treatment for reasons I won't go into. I need to quit and I want to ry the e-cigarette. My addiction has always been about the habit, not so much the nicotine. However, I would like to begin with a small amount of nicotine and go down to none. I've done some research on these int he past two days, but I am confused onw hat to order, batteries, atomizers, chargers, etc. I have no idea where to start. I am apack a day smoker, marlboro menthol ultra lights. I like to smoke when I drive, after I eat, take breaks at work to do it, it helps me relax and feel good. I hate when I can't "do it", the patch doesn't work for me, because I miss the habit of it so I truly think this e-cig might work for me. My oncologist says give it a try, it can't hurt. But I need help in where to get the best one, which one? What flavors? I honestly just do not have the time to do all the research. Is anyone here that is in a similar boat as me and can help me? Iknow smoke assist is a trial thing and I read bad reviews. I went to some mall.net website and I didn't even know where to start. Any advise is welcomed and thank you so much everyone!

I think the eGo is the best 510 device with a very long battery life. Does not look like a analog but better than the 510 as for battery life. As for juice I like tasty vapor because you can buy it on any nic you want and buy a doubler and mix your own nic content. I buy 48 mg nic and a doubler and then mix it down to 12 mg of nic. If you want 24 mg nic just mix 1/2 and 1/2. Hope this helps. If you buy the eGo do buy extra atty's.

I use the Vapor4life VK,Its an easy to use 2 piece unit. You can get an extralong kit and cartomizers. The 2 xlong batts will get you through the day. They have sampler packs in the cartomizers so you can get different flavors and try them to find out what you like. You can check out the site and the subforum and see if it may be what your looking for.
Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

buy a couple of disposable 510's from madvapes, that should get you off the tobacco quick & easy, with minimal $$$. I'm not a menthol person, but I've heard several times that Nhaler has some really great menthol flavors. I'm sure a menthol person will help you out soon.

from what I've heard almost all the "free" trial things out that are pretty much over priced scams.

The Joye 510 is a relatively cheap and pretty good starter ecig. It gets a lot of high praise and works really well and is relatively simple. The biggest drawback is the battery life on them, they'll only last an hour or two. This is the ecig I've started on and it has worked great for me, a bit over a month quit and the 510 has made it tremendously easier then any pasy attempt.

Though if you go for the 510, you might want to get a PCC(personal charging case) that will charge your battery while on the go and isn't any less of a pain to carry around then a real pack. I have a PCC and I keep one battery in there charging and then have a seperate battery with the atomizer and cart so I can just switch the two off when one dies. Generally the PCC recharges a batt by the time I kill the next one. A PCC is supposed to have around 4 batt charges worth in it I believe. If you want the janty website there is a link to them in the vendor forums.

If you don't mind spending money an a more expensive unit I would recommend the Janty eGo. Its just as portable and you wouldn't need a PCC because the batts are supposed to last 7-10 hours I believe. So in that case all you would need is your eGo and a 3ml bottle of juice and your set for the day. Janty is having some problems keeping it in stock because its becoming so popular, but they are due to be in stock again soon.

As far as juice goes theres tons of suppliers out there and a lot of fairly inexpensive sampler bottles you can order. There is a juice reviews forum that would help you out quite a bit. Personally I order from TastyVapor.us . He has a lot of custom mixes and fresh mixes each order when you order it. It is a bit more of a risk since its 15 bucks a bottle and he is not able to offer samplers. He makes some great juice though so it not tasting good isn't much of a risk, and you could probably easily resell it if you hated it.

If you want to try to go for the 510, the cheaper but still good option I highly highly recommend ordering from cignot.com . Great prices, great customer service and excellent shipping. They have a range of 510 kits you can order, like a 35 dollar basic two batts, two attys, 5 carts and charger kit. I personally when with the 65 dollar PCC kit and was very satisfied.

I'm still a bit of a noob but this is what I've learned so far as a beginner, hopefully my rambling may help you a bit.

    Good Luck!

    Default A little help

I have been vaping for 4 months now. It is the best thing I have ever done in my life! Cignot.com has a complete set Joye 510 for $35.00. Has everything you need for the electric cig. The "juice" ordering can be mind blowing..I get mine from wetyourstick.com. and have only used the nic flavored. I smoked analogs for 45 yr and about 1 1/2 pks day so I ordered the 24mg $18.00. I have never looked back since I started vaping. It is a true miracle to me! Sorry to hear about your cancer. Hope you have a full recovery.

Hi and welcome to the forums.
I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, I'm sure you will find a lot of people here will offer suggestions.

Easiest, I think, is the joye 510 to start with.
I suggest getting a starter kit. cignot or litecigusa.net have some starter kits.

If you want, you can get a small 10ml size bottle of a juice just in case you decide you want to stick with the joye or any other PV.
That way you'll have some while you wait for more to come if you decide you do want to continue.

Don't worry about all the other stuff like mods or any accessories yet, you'll want to make sure it's something you want first.

Good luck and never quit quitting.

Joye 510 NO BOX << This kit is probably one of the best easy get-off-analogs starter kits you can get, and the ladies at cignot have the best customer service I've ever experienced online. The joye 510 is renowned for it's cigarette like vapor production, and it has been excellent for many (myself included ) Best of luck with your search!

    Hi Sandra,

Welcome to the forums I'm so sorry you are dealing with so much right now. I'm glad your oncologist gave you the OK to vape, it's been truly life changing for a lot of us here.

I started out with a Joye 510 ($35.00 starter kit) and I now have several of them. I was able to completely quit smoking the first day I started using my e-cig. I am now a month smoke free, and honestly - it's a miracle.

I was a 1.5+ pack a day Newport Light 100's smoker for over 20 years. The psychological aspect of smoking is stronger than anything in my case. I tried everything in the past. The anxiety and distress from giving up the physical habit was always too much and I never made it that long.

It still amazes me to realize I actually quit - painlessly and effortlessly. I like vaping more than smoking.

After some trial and error I was able to find a menthol e-liquid that I now stick with and rely on the same way I relied on my old cigarettes.

I know there is so much information here and everyone has their preferred e-cig and recommended suppliers but the bottom line is - it's all a matter of what suits you best.

An e-cig will never feel or taste like your old cigarettes. The smoke-juice will never taste exactly like your cigarettes. It can and does replace the act of smoking and satisfy the psychological habit and the physical addiction to nicotine.

    It can and does work.

Keep posting and asking questions. Everyone here is really welcoming and willing to help. We're even pretty amusing and good company if you need a distraction

    Good Luck!

I just want to say the we all wish you nothing but the very best! All of the suggestions you have received so far are perfect too. Cignot.com is the best place I could recommend.

I quit instantly with my first vape on 4 November 2009. Thank You ECF!
