    Default inhaling foam??

Ive been using my Joye510 for about a month now. I bought several fill-able cartridges and a couple 10ml bottle of juice, which I have been using instead of the pre-fill carts that came with it.

Anyways, as I have been re-filling the cartridges over and over, I am noticing less and less of the absorbent foam, especially in the center where it comes in contact with the atomizer heating element more.

Is this normal and, if so, does that mean we are inhaling the foam along with vaping solution?

I see talk about concerns regarding the healthy-ness of vaping vs smoking but I hadn't noticed any discussions regarding inhaling vaporized foam.

Thats not unheard of. Change the piece of foam out and check it regularly...when it looks like it might be melted...change it out again.

Yes it does happen. The filler material no matter what you use will form a shape that conforms to the bridge of your atomizer. The filler will also degrade over time with the heat and continuous saturation of e-juice. Go down to the Modders Forum/Cartridge Mods and you'll see the different methods and materials that members use to replace their filler material in their carts. We all have the ones we like best, so you'll have to try several different ways until you find what works for you.

I quit instantly with my first vape on 4 November 2009. Thank You ECF!

I seriously doubt you are vaporizing the filler material. It might be getting slightly singed. It does compress though, and get a dimple in it where the bridge pushes into it. But I doubt you are actually losing filler material, especially with regular batts, which give relatively low voltage on the atty, at least compared to higher voltage battery mods.

You can wash and reuse the stock filler, making sure it is fluffy and flush or 1 mm above the top of the cart, or you can mod the cart with another filler. People like aquarium blue foam, which some vendors are now selling precut for carts:

Blue Foam Cartridge Filler - $0.75 : StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop!

There are several other cart mods too. Dig around in the Joye 510 forum, under model-specif discussions. I use the zero-filler mod myself.
Deciding not to smoke is one thing. Forgetting to smoke is a different animal altogether.
