The Anticipation

So been lurking around here a couple of weeks, joined last week and have been reading everything I can and posting the occasional reply. I know I am no expert but I think I got this pretty much down as far as whats going on, although now im not sure if I should have ordered a 510 instead of my 901.

Anyway on to the main topic I was writing for, I am dying in anticipation of my first PV to come in. I ordered on Wednesday and was hoping for it to be here by Saturday, no such luck. Well yesterday (on sunday go figure) USPS says they sent it through their sorting station at 2:42 a.m. in Tampa, only like an hour from my house. So heres to hoping for my package tomorrow, I really wanna quit analogs. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve begging to open a package early, only there is no package to open early

I have been reading the forums like crazy, and have a few ideas for some cart mods that I think might be pretty good *fingers crossed* will update you once I get to test them. I have already purchased several different fillers that others have talked about as well as some that haven't been mentioned. I am a bit of a tinkerer, also if anyone has dead 901 atties they are about to toss, let me know. I am ordering the supplies to see if I cant improve upon the atty design along with the others in the atty modding section.

Anyway, I think I've blabbed on enough for now, I just want to say thank you to all of those out there who have provided information and supported this forum. I think e-cig's are truely a godsend to us smokers that want to quit but have been unsuccessful. Off I go to have a nasty analog, maybe in 12 hours I will have no need!

Welcome aboard!
The 510 is a great start in my opinion.
I smoked for 31 years a pack and a half a day.
I was able to quit the day I got my 510!
Yes now I am looking at other PV's but I still like my 510 and will use it as a back up, or maybe just get a mod for it.

OOOPS SORRY, I read your post wrong I thought you got a 510
I am sure you will be fine with the 901, lots of people have them and like them a lot!

Welcome to the forum jgdovin! Don't you worry about having ordered a 901, you're going to love it. That's all I've been using for nearly a year and have been very happy with it. I tried to revive my only pink atty this morning for the second time, but I think it's just on its last legs, I'll be happy to send it to you to play with. Will send you a pm.

I felt the same way, I lurked around the forums reading like mad for a few weeks. Then ordered my stuff on monday two weeks ago. The wait felt like forever, but by friday I got my pv, carts, batts and attys.

But on saturday all I got was a call from my bank telling me they thought my card was used fraudulently and held up payment at halo for my juice. Guess I placed to many orders to quickly and their computer didn't like it. So I didn't get to start till this friday, nearly 2 weeks after my order was placed, and about a month after I thought I'd start vapin.

Having the whole weekend was good, got a lot of trial and error out of my system, so i can hit the work week running tomorrow.

I think everybody went through that. I did and read alot of posts of others. I was going to order the 901 too but was suggested the 510 and got it instead. I think you will be happy with the 901. I started to feel like it was personal, like maybe the postman had it in for me or the smoking genie had my pv and wouldn't give it to the postman. But I guess its like they say about child rearing. once it's over it's all forgotten. I'm sure you'll get it on mon. Have a good one and enjoy it.

Waiting for that first one is like waiting for your first child to be born, IMO.

OK, you're a guy, but you get the gist.

(My first PV was expected to be delivered on a Saturday too, but due to bad weather it actually didn't arrive until Tuesday after, so I know the angst you are going through.)

Thanks to everyone's encouraging words. I actually almost got one a couple weeks ago, but it fell through. I do web design from home as my business and I was contacted by a vendor here in town to do a website for him. I had all the details worked out, my g/f stopped on her way home from work to pick up the up front payment of one starter kit dse 901 and a couple extras. G/f immediately walked out after going into his store and talking to him for about 5 minutes. She said he seemed like he was on drugs, and he had nyquil, and cleaners all in a pile next to his open bottles of juices, she freaked and left. Sadly some of these local vendors are giving off this image at least here in tampa. They said they had been doing it for months, I asked them if they carried a PCC, they had no idea what it was, I asked them about any kind of mods, or anything like that, again no idea. *shrugs*

Anyway so woke up this morning dieing for an analog, only a few more hours until mail runs. I ordered from Lite Cig USA and so far I can tell ya, shawn over there is very helpful, quick shipping, great prices.

Rainbowz: nah, just cause im a guy doesnt mean I dont know what waiting for your first child is like, and yea its getting like those last few hours of waiting for everything. cept, when my son was born I was up from 4a.m. december 31st, 2008 until around 6 p.m. january 3rd 2009... yes thats is around 3 and a half days straight with no sleep. He was born January 1st, 2009 but was such a rush I couldnt sleep, plus he was in N.I.C.U. for a week and a half.

I will probably end up ordering a 510 in a couple weeks. oh well. thanks all, I will quit boring you
