Carrying my pv on a commercial airliner.
Any problems with carrying your vaping stuff through security? I don't mean vaping while aboard--no need to rile my fellow passengers. I just wondered if the airlines are ok with liquid, attys, etc in your carry-on?

I did it no problem. Just make sure that if you have any liquid that they are in amounts of 3oz or less and inside a plastic ziplock bag (you can only carry 1).
I carried carts I filled myself, atomizers, the Janty Stick, and there were no issues through the security checkpoint. You can carry the liquid as I stated, but I just didn't want to deal with it. I kept my liquid in my checked baggage.
3oz shouldn't be a problem since that's 88.7ml lol
EDIT: sorry, it's 3.4oz or 100ml max. http://www.tsa.gov/311/

No. The smoke detector works on a light being blocked and a good vapor cloud will set it off.
In the travel forum you'll see some ideas for stealth vaping. I did it last week just blowing vapor in my coat. Having some hot steaming coffee is a good distraction ;-)
