Default help finding out which one is right for me (plus a few other questions)

I have been looking at buying myself an e-cig for a while now, i tried a sample a few months back at a mall, (Smoking Everywhere, i beleive) and i liked it a lot, and immediatly decided that i wanted to try and buy one to cut down on cost mainly, but i would like to ultimately quit smoking analogs (so unhealthy!).
I've been to countless websites within the past few days becuase ive figured that now is the time to get one. But now i dont know which one i want.
after reading many reviews, looking at the builds of different models and checking the e-juice and cartridges and their prices, ive figured out a good starting point.
i am pretty sure i want the DragonM401 starter kit. Love the looks, love their carrying case, and ive read good things about the battery life and the experience. but is it the best one for me? after looking through their site, i can already tell i will be doing dripping/wicking (not too sure which term is correct, but i know its filling up used cartridges) because on truesmokers.com a 5 pack of cartridges are $5.99, compared to either $2.99 or $3.99 being the lowest price ive seen so far.
ive been looking at refills of e-juice, trying to find the best bang for my buck. im not sure of which flavors i want, but i definitly want tobacco and menthol (i smoke both kinds of cigarettes at the moment) and then maybe another flavor just to try some of the more fruity flavors out there.i found 50ml containers of e-juice on Light In The Box for less than i see the 10ml containers going for, and i dont know if this is one of those things that is just too good to be true.
what i want to know is are there any other companies out there that sell e-cigs that you might want to recomend to me? and can i order cartridges from other companies and use them with the M401? also, the M401 starter kit comes with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers, should I order an extra of each now, just for back up, or wait until later? any recomendations anybody can make would be really helpful, i am completely open to sugestion, so feel free to guide me down the path to a positive first e-cigarette experience.
    Thanks!
(sorry for the long post, and if i broke any forum rules, just let me know what it is and ill edit my post)

    Welcome to the ECF!!

I will try to help you a little here...

First off only you can say which one is right for you. I own several PV's, and they all perform differently. I do own a M401/2/3, and I love it for its way of bringing out the flavor of the juices. Only drawback that I have with it is you have to refill the cart all the time. Doesn't bother me, but it does to others.

For parts that are cheaper for the M401/2/3 try absolutelyecigs.com, but you can't get the Dragon batts. there.

For flavor of juice, you have to try them and see what you like, as everyone likes different tastes. But be warned, most tobacco flavors are different then the analogs you are use to. They don't have all the chemicals to make up the taste. It doesn't mean that they are bad, just different.

If you have any questions just ask.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

Silver Bullet $99, 510 Atty $9 Batteries and a charger say $25 30 ml juice at tasty vapors $15 some extra carts $4 $150 total or close to it = or - a couple of dollars. This will give you a true vaping experiance in my opinion only, and if you wanna try it in 6v like most would like to try all you need is some more Batts and a tenergy charger for $15 for both. If you do it this way you will also have a really top of the line unit and if you dont wanna vape anymore you can throw it all on the classifieds here on ecf and get at least 1/2 to 3/4 of all your cash back..

i own the smoking everywhere gold.. its... ok at best. would be a little better than ok if replacement parts werent so damn expensive ($30 for a battery, give me a break). the vapor is mediocre, and takes a lot to get it going... if you dont trip the chip in it that shuts off the battery after taking a 10 second drag first...

I recently bought the m401 dragon elite, and i absolutely love it... good flavor and battery life, small size, thin and lite!

Ive also tried the 901, which is very good, tons of vapor, but a bit big for me... and the 501, which my friend had extra batteries and atomizers, but kept burning out atomizers...

as of now, given the size and battery life, id say my favorite is the m401... the dragon is a bonus.

I drip, i like it better than carts (stronger flavor, more vapor, bigger throat hit, and it doesnt leak in your mouth!), but always keep a few carts filled for driving (i found dripping and driving is harder than texting and driving)... but the 401 will burn through a cart in no time as stated above. you may want to check out some juice sites and think about picking some up and testing out both carts and dripping to see what you like best.

    I started out with a 510 from cignot.com

I'm in love! I also did the tea bag mod. I don't drip. The carts seem to last quite a bit longer now that i modded it. I couldn't be happier with the 510 though. Great way to start out in my opinion.

I just started last thursday. I smoked a pack a day for ten years before that. I haven't looked back. It's truly unbelievable.

what other companies sell carts that are compatible with the M401 Dragon?
and would you think the 50ml nic fluid sold on light in the box .com is one of those things where its too good to be true? because that just seems way to cheap to be real. and should i pick up a spare atty and battery when i order it, or is 2 enough for right now?

Not sure about the carts for the dragon.

Personally I wouldn't buy juice from that site. I prefer to go somewhere reputable. I'm not a seasoned vet by any means. Picking up spare parts is never a bad idea.

Check out the Tornado and the Ego, both the same thing, just different name and sold by two sellers here. It's a 510 with a 650 mhr batt vs the small 150 batt. All the stuff for a 510 will fit it too as it's made by Joye. Titan stuff will fit too. If you vape like I did to the tune of two packs of cigs a day then the little 510 batts aren't going to cut it.

I also got the 510 batt to 808/901 adapter to use cartomizers with it. Cartomizers are different than carts. Cartomizers hold more fluid, 25 drops vs 12-15 for a cart I understand. They are refillable too. One vendor sells 510 cartomizers but they are the soft kind and not heard any reviews for them. I hear they are soft tips, kinda like a real ciggy but are refillable too. I haven't refilled any of the 808 cartos yet as I just got them this PM. I hope expect they are better than hassling with carts.

I wouldnt buy anything ecig related from that site... not even god knows whats in it or where it came from... but from sellers, anyone on this site seems to be pretty good, some more than others.

I'm not sure who else sells carts for the m401's, but an m401 is an m401, carts aren't going to change from seller to seller... I'm actually looking for some place where I can pick up some bulk empty carts... I normally drip, but would like some empties available so I can fill them when i got on long drives... a little safer than dripping and driving.
