Can a battery taste funny?
I seem to be coming obsessed with taste - either I can't taste like I did when I started or I can taste something other than juice...
With my Evo I think I've narrowed it down to a battery - the draw is heavier with one particular battery, and there is a definate metallic taste. Has anyone else had this - is it even possible?

I've heard of flavor being associated with the carts or atomizer...but never the battery.

Think it might be an atomizer issue cdnick....try dripping without the cart to see the difference! The Wiz!

I've found that my batteries taste like whatever I've cooked them in. I prefer a nice garlic butter with a bit of sauteed scallion and a pinch of salt.

Yeah, has to be your atomizer. Otherwise, I was thinking, "What are you doing sucking on your battery?"
Of course the leads to a perfectly good, "that's what she said...," joke.

I've had bad battery taste a few months ago. It's different to self-cleaning atomiser or burnt fibres from the cart. It's more chemical and more than disgusting.
I changed to a new atomiser and a new cart and taste was still there.
The Smoore site also carries a warning about it...

• If you experience battery leakage and electrolyte leaking from the battery comes in contact with your eyes, do not rub. Wash eyes immediately with clean water and immediately seek medical assistance.
• If the battery smells, burns, changes color or deforms in any way during re-charging or use, cut the power supply and remove battery from the charger or remove battery from device and discontinue using.
Do not attempt, in any way, to modify or damage the battery by piercing or opening the battery with any tool.
The finished batteries should be retrieved in a environmental way.
Edit: My battery was bought as part of a 901 starter pack from ebay

Yeah, I think I melted one yesterday. It was a nasty metal taste mixed with burning plastic taste/smell. Took 3 cartridges to get the aftertaste out of the atomizer.....yuck!!!!

I am not certain but I think some air is being drawn past the battery so if there is any leak in the battery chemicals then I would imagine it's quite possible that you could be 'tasting' the battery.

Just try a different battery. If you get the same bad taste then its the atomizer. If the bad taste goes away then it was a bad battery. I had a new atomizer with a bad taste. I boiled it for about a minute and its perfectly fine now.
