    Default First time Quitter

I am on day 2 with no cigarettes. Just puffing on my ecigarette as needed.
I am thinking that I don't get the same amount of nicotine as I did from a regular Kool Menthol cigarette. I bought a pee wee from puresmoker along with some medium menthol cartridges.

I find that i need to puff on my ecigarette a little more often than I actually smoked. I really want to quit smoking so I am hoping this will do the trick. If it does, I will be amazed. I never ever wanted to quit smoking.. I knew how bad it was for me and just didn't care. I loved it that much,
I really want a real cigarette but I am not going to do it. I can do this.

    I hope

You can do this. I've been a little over a week now with no analogs and just my ecig. I agree that I tend to vape more than I smoked, but part of that reason for me personally, is that I enjoy the novelty of smoking at my cubicle. Also the strenght may not be what you're used to, but the juice you are able to buy can make up for the low nicotine until you're ready to take that down step to less nicotine. Good luck to you in kicking the analogs out for good!

    Welcome, furymom!
Many of us didn't plan on quitting - it just comes naturally..there's no rush, just keep on vaping as much as you want - one thing at a time!
I know I bought Low strength in the beginning to match the strength of my real cig so I thought but found I had to up it one level to really no longer crave cigs..then eventually I went back down..

thanks,, you guys are the only people I am telling that I am trying to quit. I have disappointed too many people and myself in the past.

The ecigarette does help... I don't use the juice stuff yet because I am not really up on all the cool stuff you can do with these things.. I am just basically worried about my vaporizer going out because I only have the one.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your decision to stop analogs.

As a smoker of over 15 years, I never tried to quit. Never. It was love/hate with cigarettes that kept me on them for so long. And besides that, it was better to keep smoking than to worry about what life would be like without them.

The good news is, you don't have to quit nicotine, unless that is your ultimate goal. For me, I am not worried about that. I am happy I have finally quit smoking. Technically, I suppose you can say that is not entirely true. But for me, this is a huge accomplishment.

I have been e-smoking for a little over a month now. Three of the four weeks have been completely analog cigarette free (I had a relapse for about a week and went back to the cancer sticks). Right now, I am at 7 days+ w/o a cigarette.

I will have to say, the first couple of days were real hard. Initially, I thought it would be easier to just substitute an electronic cigarette for one of my normal routine cigarettes. This worked well for me because I knew I could always have a normal cigarette anytime I wanted.

After a few days of that though, I was wondering the same thing as you. Am I getting satisfied by the ecig? I went to the forums and started reading. People suggested getting liquid and drip it into the atomizer. Some warned against this. Since I am a rebel, I decided that dripping was the way to go. Let me tell you what... this changed my outlook on electronic cigarettes forever. Wow what an improvement over those lame cartridges. Not only could I determine how much I smoked (a couple of drops last about the lenght of one cigarette), but I got a much better dose of nicotine.

So, if you haven't, I would sugguest getting some e-liquid/e-juice and try that. It made all the differnce for me. Once I started "dripping", I never went back to cigarettes ('cept for that one little relapse due to a massive head cold).

I'm now on day 6 using only the e-cig. I've switched from 18 mg to 14 mg cartridges and i'm taking fewer and fewer puffs as the nicotine cravings are getting less and less intense.

I want to use the e-cig as a path to quitting completely rather than continue vaping, but whatever happens, i know I'm not going back to smoking thanks to this amazing invention.

I wouldn't worry about the atomizer going out. I've had mine for over a month and been dripping in it for 3 weeks. Never a problem. I know you've probably read some horror stories about people's atomizers going out, but from my experience and from what I have read, keeping the atomizer wet is the key to a long atomizer life. In fact, carts tend to dry out very quickly, and if the wool is not providing a good amount of liquid to your atomizer, you could be doing some damage to it.

I would suggest picking up some liquid and a spare atomizer (for reassurance). You will have a much better experience from your ecig, and it really is much cheaper than the packs of cigarettes you'd end up buying every month.

xmarlboro man.. Do you still have cravings? I find the first cigarette of the day was always my favorite and I have to admit the ecigarette just doesn't quite measure up.

Also tried to order a new atomizer from puresmoker and they are out! I have a feeling this must be a common problem with esmokers.

    Furymom,
I had the hardest time with that morning cig..so I just had one and rest of day could handle just ecigs..few weeks later when all calmed down about this whole new technology..stopped that morning cig..cause the ecig tasted far better..
I'ts about relaxing with it..but really important is to get some back up atomizers, batteries & ejuice for topping!..cause it's really crazed feeling when the ecig goes down in those first few months!
There are other suppliers that are great too..so you can check the others out as they are mostly in stock now..
    Good Luck!
