My First eCigarette
Hi guys, i've just placed an order for a nJoy NPRO and i'm pretty anxious to get it and start trying it out. This forum has been a great place for me to get information as i've just found out about these. I do have a few questions though.
First, a little background
I'm 20
Been smoking for 2 years
Am a VERY light smoker (4-7 a week, tops. Cigarettes, not packs) And during the first year and a half, I would go through maybe 10 a MONTH.
With that being said, it's not the nicotine or high that I like to smoke, it's just the act of smoking. I find that it calms me down and I really like to do it at the end of the day after I get home from school and work and whatnot. Also, at parties it just kind of happens, ya'know.
I know that i've read it's not a good idea to get addicted to these, but I don't have an addictive personality and i'm not worried about that. It's just I want to have one a day but I don't want to hurt my lungs, so this seems like the best logical solution.
I play on using these very lightly, maybe like twice a day for 5-10 minutes each time. I'll use it sparsingly when i'm doing things like watching tv or playing video games, and once in the evening after I finish the day.
So now here are my questions
1.) What brand of eLiquid do you guys reccomend? Are there any sites that sell like a "sampler?" I would like to try new flavors but I read that 1ml is about a pack, and I don't smoke nearly that much. 15ml would last me like 4-5 months.
2.) Would smoking a high cartridge (18ml) have any health risks if I smoke as much as I said? I'm particulary concerned about the lungs.
3.) Is there anything else I should know before I start?
Thank you guys very much for any information you can give me!

No don't these things may cause your hair to fall out, male enurance problems, female breast reduction or increase, terrorists to not like us, and an increase in government based stimulus.

Hope this helps out!
I listed both the UK and US Site for Totally Wicked.

Thanks guys for the answers! I'm looking through the eLiquids and i'm pretty excited to try them.
I have one more question though, it's about the atomizer. I've read that a lot of them break and I was wondering, do I have to buy a whole new kit if the atomizer breaks? Or are there aftermarket ones that I could just plop into the NPRO?
Also, how much maintenance do I need for it?
Thanks!

You can always purchase additional atomizers. No need to purchase a whole new kit. The only problem you'll have then is finding someone with stock.
There will be other companies that sell comparable atomizers to your brand of njoy. As a matter of fact, I believe Puresmoker's PeeWee and the NPRO are the same, for instance.
With atomizers, you really don't have to do HEAVY maintenance. There are a few really simple things you can do to take care of them, but, alas, sometimes they just quit working. There's very little you can do, and there's definitely not an atomizer on the market that will work forever, unfortunately. Expect, on average, atomizers to last about a month or so with proper maintenance.
Check my blog for my write-up on atomizer care, if you'd like.
Hope this helps you out.

Honestly, if you only smoke up to ten cigarettes a week, why not just quit? If you do not have an addictive personality, why would you want to start smoking an addictive product (both chemically and financially). Suck on lollipops, they may rot your teeth, but your lungs should be just fine.

To each his/her own, chef.
No need to question someone's decision. Just give them support and guidance when they ask for it.
People do things for a lot of different reasons, and just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean that it's not perfectly logical to them.

I was going to go the other way - if you only smoke up to 10 cigarettes per week why not just keep smoking them? I'm told that there is no "safe" number of cigarettes but I find it hard to believe that ~2 cigarettes a day is going to be doing any statistically significant harm (or no more harm than day-to-day traffic pollution at any rate).
On saying that, if you just like the act of smoking then, as has been said, just get zero nicotine (or make your own with glycerine and flavorings) and enjoy the nice taste of the vapor! Smooooooth...

That is hardly the point. I inferred from the initial post that the forum member did not have an addictive personality, yet wants to enter into this world that involves an addictive substance. While I agree that he/she has every right to do so, maybe he/she has not thought it through. I offered an opposing viewpoint for consideration. That is, as you put it, giving some guidance. If he/she wishes to continue down the e-cig path, I will happily provide support.
