Default First and only attempt at dripping

Received some x high cola flavour liquid from totally wicked today and filled all my old capsules. Before I had even tried one of the capsules I'd decided this wasn't for me. A sticky, footery business. So far I've tried two. The first was fine for about 6 draws then it became difficult to get a draw. The next gave me plenty of vapour and too strong a throat hit as well as a couple of squirts of liquid.

Probably worked out at less than 10p a cartridge but I think I'd rather pay 50p a go than go through all that.

    What model are you dripping?

I found with super-mini's it is better to just drip a few drops into the cart.

I am not a big fan of dripping into the atomizer.

Oh, I must also add that I do actually drip into the atomizer, but only in the morning when it's fully dried out, or after cleaning it when its also dried out.

You were dripping, or topping off? What device do you have?

Ditto. Be careful to only add a few drops (stop when they take longer to absorb--at this stage you've probably slightly over-filled). I rest my penstyles upside down on the battery end for a while after dripping to moisten the atomiser, but it's possible to get juice into the battery that way so I never do that with the pass-through (only add 2-3 drops to the cartridge, tops).

[EDIT: yeah, I mean topping off Damn the jargon!]

I've seen where people on here refill old carts or fill new carts by putting e-liquid into something like a shot glass or egg cup and placing the carts wool side down in the liquid. Then the carts absorb just what they need. It seems like a lot simpler, less room for errors method to me. You might try that instead of topping off or refilling. Get a little container with a lid, pour in some juice, as the carts get low, swap them for a different one from the container. Add more liquid to the container as needed. Should be little to no mess and no overfilling. HTH

I might give that a try Momof.

    Effex/Sambucca = Evo, dripping.

If you're dripping, you're dripping into the atomizers. I'm not getting where the carts are coming into the picture here. What am I missing?

I'm new at this & confused also. I keep seeing the term "dripping". How is this done with the atomizer only? I previously thought dripping was adding liquid to a cart but it seems I'm wrong. Please explain to us newbies. Thank you.

The way the things seem to work is that there is a wire mesh structure very near a wire filament which is heated by battery current. When you put the cart in it contacts this mesh structure and some liquid wicks into it, so there is some liquid to boil off. I personally have had much better luck just putting a drop or two (with cart out) so it runs down the side of the tube and goes to the mesh structure part of the atomizer, but perhaps doesn't land directly on the filament. I think this is what is known as dripping. You then put the (somewhat wet) cart back in and try it. A major poster in the Modder's forum (madog I think) says he always drips the atomizer and runs it wet all the time and it has lasted for 4 months in a high-power mod.
