    Default Newbie: UK Cigar Smoker!(Advice)

    Hi All,

Well here goes, just heard about these things, E cigs! Well I knew of them but didn't realise how popular they were. I was wondering if anyone would spend some time offering me advice and opinions. I smoke the little type of cigars, In England they're called Cafe Creme or Hamlet miniatures. Basically I need that Hit but having got it tend to leave half the cigar unsmoked and put it out, a waste of money!!
Patches kind of work but there's still that pleasure in drawing a puff
Any suggestions for which Cigar to choose. I've looked at the disposable ones and was wondering having puffed on it a bit can you "save" it for later or would the cartridge dry out? Would I be better getting as liquid one if that's the case. Not too bothered about the cost if it means saving in the long term on cigars at £4 for 10

    Cheers Everyone!!!

    Hi Bosso20640,

I know exactly the little cigars you mean - I used to love them!

Just a few things for kick-off. There are lots of e-cigars out there but they may not be what you're after. I have found that more modern devices tend to be more reliable. No vaping product tastes like a cigar (there are several "cigar" liquids but they usually taste like caramel imho). There are no liquids that taste like tobacco either, but some taste more like it than the fruity flavours. I hope that isn't too confusing.

If you're looking for plenty of vapour I'd suggest something like a Janty Stick to kick off with. Plenty of vapour and easy to use. Try the carts that come with it and then try "dripping" - it's easier in the long term. Alternatively for something like a short cigarette you could have a look at Intellicig's products - the small Mighty Atom battery might suit.

I used to smoke a pipe but now vape exclusively. Vaping does not taste like pipe tobacco, either - but it's great! The only way to find out for yourself is to give it a try. Good luck!

Yes - when you take a drag it's on, and when you don't it isn't - so no waste. You'll find pictures and info on the Janty Stick on this forum - search on Janty Stick v3. Enjoy!

Not really - it's more like an inhaler than either of these. You're moving into new territory and the main thing to remember is this : these devices only approximately emulate tobacco smoking. You'll get the nicotine satisfaction you want as well as the feeling of breathing vapour in and out - but that's where the similarity ends. You're not burning anything, which is a plus!

It all sounds fantastic, I'll look into getting one!! What's Dripping" and would I be able to use the V3 for both, or is it cartridges only?

It depends a lot on what exactly you are looking for, but I would not recommend an e-cigar, either. Very little throat hit, expensive to replace, old model.

Most people these days - including me - recommend a 510 or an eGo (which is a 510 with a bigger battery and a neat cover).

You may want to read DaBooms The Wonderful World of Vaping for starters. Vaping isn't smoking. It's actually a lot better, but there is a bit of a learning curve to it.

Vote in the polls, vapers, we need numbers!

Ok, I've taken the plunge and ordered the V3. i'll work it all out when it arrives I'm sure but just a quickie.... You can buy empty carts (extra) so can use whatever juice i like I suppose.....
    1) Do the empty carts come with the "stuffing" to soak up the juice?
    2) 2 drops or more? (and I presume an overfill is what is meant by leaking?)
    3) How often would you have to put the drops in?

    What a Noobie I am!!!

    You all sound so professional!!!
