What Fluval should I get from the pet store?

I actually just took out the original filler in the joye cart. I washed it off a few times, and washed the cart out. I put the filler back in then put a few drops of apple cinnamon cranberry juice from V4L in there. I put a good amount of liquid in there and i am not getting alot of vapor.

I am not getting the nice crazy thoat hit like i was from the original cherry cola that came with the joye from cignot.com . The nicotine level on it is low, can that be the reason why?

Just took another hit, I am just not getting alot of vapor at all from this??

Don't forget to put drops on the atomizer each time you refill too... it will keep it vaping great. Make sure the liquid is going down to the bottom of the filler in the cartridge (move it aside a bit with a toothpick). The 510 holds quite a bit in the filler, so be sure it is full, and that the polyfill is brought back up to the top of the cartridge so it is making good contact with the atomizer bridge.

Could just be as simple as time for a new battery, or perhaps you need to clean the brass connectors to the atty and battery. If that doesn't work, it could be flooded (I'd blow it out last after checking everything else first).

I agree that it is good but superior?

I find that fluval wicks better. Just my opinion.

In fact the best configuration that I have come across using the fluval is a two part system (I do believe that is what the OP of the thread
Eheim filterpad mod uses).

The first chunk of fluval as the filler, the second piece for the plug. Works fine for me, no flooding, no leaking. But the problem (as with any cart mod) you can't overfill.

I tried alot of different densities of fluval and no matter what, when the atomizer began to taste off and vapor went down signaling time to top off, there was always a substantial amount of juice left in the fluval. With PTB, when I get that signal to top off I can pull out the PTB and it is dry - no leftover juice. So when it is time to refill then it is actually time to refill not just top off on a bunch of juice that is still in the filler.

I agree that the Fluval is "far superior" IMO. I fiddled around with PTB until I almost gave up on vaping. When I top off with the Fluval I can get 10-13 drops and no leaking. I found the Fluval Blocks didn't work very well and I use the Fluval Water Polishing Pads.

Hmmm, I heard one person awhile back report that the polishing pads did not work.

I guess my thing with any cart mod is does the 'taste' of the filler transfer to the juice? Are the pads similar to the fluval blocks. Please, GoodDog, give a comparison of the pads to the blocks if you don't mind. Thanks.

IMO if the fluval is withholding alot of juice when you need to refill/top up, it is packed to dense. Any cart mod that uses a filler will always contain a certain amount of 'residual' juice.

The pads look like sheets of poly batting that you buy by the yard. One thickness equals 3 layers that you pull apart. I use about half the quantity I would regular polyfil and keep it fluffed up inside the cart.

The Fluval Blocks are more foam-like with large craters and don't wick up the juice very well.

I about drove myself nuts looking for the right filler and tried just about every mod on this forum. By far, the way I use the Fluval is the best! It will actually get entirely dry if I don't pay attention. I tell you, it made all the difference in my vaping experience. It takes a bit of experimenting to get just the right amount of material, but depending on the viscosity of your juice my 901 cart holds about 25+ drops and I usually top off with between 10-13.

Added: Flavor is my number one priority and the Fluval when used correctly has no taste - like the blue foam always did for me. It is necessary to rinse it really well before using it or it will.

Good point about cleaning the threads. This, btw, should be done at least once a week using q-tips and rubbing alcohol. Clean the threads and don't forget about doing this to the charger. You will be surprised at how much black crud accumulates on the parts.
