Hey JustJulie, Great post thank you. sonce you have the dura-C what is your opinion of it as of now? I know I want a close to an analog smoke which you said it is the closest yet. Just curious how it is working out so far for you?

Julie--Nice post and this statement right here you make is right on point. Get a baseline and then branching out--Sun

The Dura-C is working great. But, then, the original Dura worked beautifully for the first few weeks. I am soooooo hoping that the bugs have been fixed, but I've learned my lesson . . . I will not recommend anything unless I've vaped on it for several weeks.
For me, the Dura is the closest thing to providing the weight and "umph" that I used to get from my tobacco cigarettes. It's just hard to describe. If you lived nearby, I'd invite you over for a test-vape.
The other e-cig that closely mimicks the smoking experience (in my opinion) is the Pilot (which is a close cousin, I believe, to the EVO . . . someone can correct me if I'm wrong). The Pilot (PureSmoker) produces a lot of vapor for such a trim model, and it actually comes pretty darned close to feeling like a cigarette as well as "smoking" like one. But I personally don't enjoy using it that much because it's a lot more work to fuss with.
The Pilot cartridges are recessed, so refilling/topping off is more work. It's easy to overfill the cartridge or to get some liquid in the mouthpiece, which leads to the dreaded mouthful of niquid.
Also, since the cartridges don't last very long, you really do have to deal with the topping off/refilling.
I guess because I vape so much, I just don't want to deal with constantly refilling/topping off a model where I have to use a paperclip to get the cartridge far enough up so that I can see what the heck I'm doing. Ultimately, I'm lazy.
Thus, the Pilot, while a nice model, isn't a good solution for me, a heavy e-smoker.
The Dura, on the other hand, has a cartridge that holds a ridiculous amount of liquid. The Dura is a bit fatter and a bit longer than the Pilot, but it's still within the comfort range of someone who wants something that isn't as large as a penstyle.
Personally, I would be reading Dura threads over the next several weeks to see what others are reporting. If it looks like the bugs have been worked out, then you should definitely get a Dura-C. Yeah, it's that good.

I just ordered a couple of Dura C kits, one for me and one for a friend. I guess that's my answer

Does anyone know if they even have the Dura-C in stock?

All I know is that it used to say "pre-order" for the kits and now it doesn't.

Well, I did tell you you'd probably wind up with at least two different models.
Let us know how it works for you.

Good call. One or the other will suit your style of vaping better than the other and now you'll know which
