New DSE901 - Any prep besides charging?

We've got a new DSE901 arriving today and we want to get the longest life and best performance possible. Does anyone have any preparatory recommendations aside from charging the battery?

Also, I remember seeing somewhere on here a really clear write-up by CASHmere (sp?) on boiling atomizers to revitalize them, but I can't seem to find it again (yes, I used search - I'm just not very good at it). If anyone has the link I would really appreciate it.

Nope full charge is it, except perhaps making sure you have a fully moist cartridge (sometimes the pre-filled ones are a bit dry and can be topped off with liquid right away).

As for atomizer cleaning, there's some new info on using a Pepsi/Coke bath instead of boiling that looks very promising. Here's the thread (but I recommend reading all the way to the end because the recommendations have evolved with trial and error):
