    For example: DealExtreme: $6.92 SpiderFire LC-16340 3.6V 880mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (4-Pack)

    Or: DealExtreme: $6.49 Ultrafire 16340 3.6V Batteries (4-pack)
Gotcha, y - guess I should improve my reading skills!

Definitely take a cruise through the modders sub-forum, you'll find all sizes and shapes not only possible, but in existence already.

But, I've got to correct your "obscenely large" statement above - it's a commonly made mistake when people see the SD all by itself in a photo! In reality, the SD is barely larger than the "mini" 901 styles, and is shorter than the penstyles; it's only wider at the battery.

Take a look at this size comparison picture:

Good luck with your Dura in the meantime!

That's 100% right. The cart must always be higher... Even for short time rest I make sure I put my ecig with the cart up.

Hm, your right. It's not nearly as large as the stock ad photo makes it appear

    I just wanted to add...
I've been keeping the unit vertical as suggested by a couple of others here (cart side up) and guess what, that seems to work around the issue of leaking. It kind of sucks not being able to lay it down but this is workable.
I am keeping it in my pocket batt side down and using some desktop ink pen holders to keep it upright on my desk when I want to put it down. I guess the side effects are a) no leaking and b) I won't keep misplacing the thing now.
