I love the 808 especially when I'm out traveling. The carts hold a ton of juice and are fairly easy to refill using the rubber end cap and spin method. V4L made a great video of both.

When I'm on the road I normally just pack 10-15 carts that I've already filled and then don't refill till I get back home.

I usually recommend the Vapor King because I assume a newbie would rather spend their time vaping instead of topping off carts, modding carts, dripping, cleaning attys. etc....etc....etc.

I agree the carto flavors are not the best at least in some of the cartos but the number one thing most newbies are looking for is what can i find that tastes like a cig. So I tell anyone I talk to go to V4L or your choosing get the 2 variety packs of tobacco or menthol flavors get a box of blanks and one other flavor you think you might enjoy. That is so much easier than telling them ok here is how to clean your atty and your carts after you buy your sampler pack of liquid to try each flavor lets not forget the cart mods. I am just saying although I am happy with the 510 and did get the adapter for cartos and feel so thankful I had my kr808 to fall back on. For a few days there I thought I was going to give up vaping because as another thread was titled, I was tired of having those bad vaping days and because I was ordering so much for my 510 I had not ordered any spare cartos.

I usually tell new members to become aquainted with the product and make up their own mind as I did with a little studying. If you ask someone what they think then be prepared for their answer (what they think). I try to tell new members to go to the ECF Library and investigate by reading The Wonderful World of Vaping: An Illustrated Guide to E-cigs (Part 1 of 6) not always but try too. That way a person can put the blame where it's due.

I recommend the 510 over the kr808 because the suppliers of the 808 have not addressed the issue of burned polyfill in the cartomizers. I would love to use a carto for the extra liquid it can hold and not having to top off my carts, but I won't use them until the burning issue is fixed.

Is it easier to tell a newbie how to clean their attys or try to explain to them how to refill a carto?

    Yeah, that.

And switching flavors with the 510 atomizer is no big deal.
All you have to do is blow it out and move on to another flavor.

    Seriously.

Anybody who doesn't believe that is doing it wrong.
    Or maybe using menthol.

It's impossible to find your vaping groove without trying out a bunch of different things. No way I would have guessed that my favorite, all day flavors are what they are before I started.

From what I've heard/ read/ seen/ experienced, the 510 is a good performing, reasonablely priced PV. Which makes it a good starting point for a lot of people. That said, the 808 gets it's fair share of love too.
