Pv's Have to wait between puffs, to get anything out of it, is this they way they are designed.

The high bridge sticjs up higher and is more "pointed" it seems to be pointing at you when you look in at it. the low bridge is flatter down in the atty. It usually looks a little fatter too. I'm no expert on the draw or anything. Heck, you've been a member a month longer than I have but if there's a delay I would think that that would be a characteristic of the battery. Are you using a stock battery (the little ciggy looking one) or a mod like the 905 "screwdriver" type one?

My first and still favorite PV was the DSE901. I have 4 atomizers going, all 3 weeks old now. One has been in a 5V passthru the entire time and all the others on the 3.7V regular batteries or a DSE905 which is also 3.7V.
I'll second the suggestion to not try at 6V. If the mod you have (which I'm not aware of) doesn't run at 6V then I'd guess you've just clogged the atty and a cleaning will be all it needs. Take a coffee cup and fill with hot tap water. Drop the atty in and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Take out and blow in the thread end til dry. Hook it up to your battery and run it 2-6 seconds. You should hear a sizzling sound initially. That is the water that's still in the atomizer. Let it cool a few second and do again until the sizzle stops. Now drip an initial 4 drops and vape normally. You can also continue instead of starting to vape and dry burn it clean but that doesn't need to be done often, some will say at all. Just search dry burn to find a good explanation.

My 901 attys are running on their 4th week, with no real problems, but that is at 3.7 volts. I have cleaned them once, and will probably have to again soon.
Cleaning is really more for hard drag issues/bad taste issues... will not revive an atty if it really is dead.
I can't speak for 6 volt (not sure if you are using the indulgence that high or not, but I believe they can run at 3.7, 6 and 7.4).
I don't think it's a "how many puffs" sort of issue, more the length and frequency of the puffs.... I tend to take long drags 6-8 seconds (hits the cutoff on my manual), and after 3 or 4 of these the atty will be noticeably hot. Put it down, and let it cool.
At least at low voltage you should be able to feel that it is heating up before you really get into trouble. 3 drips at 3.7 volts should run you 10-15 puffs, and even then, if you aren't letting the atty get hot, you will notice a lack of vapor before you kill the atty.

About high voltage (5, 6 volts) I use a high voltage atty that I get from Ikenvape (HV SLB 901 5.2? Atomizer) They provide a higher resistance (5.2 ohms) which keeps the coil from getting too hot and burning the juice. A regular 901 atty doesn't last too long at 6 volts and makes most liquids taste like a**, IMO
