Atomiser health 901 dse
Hi everyone. I am a vape man and I have quit smoking now for 6months.
I have no problems with the e cigarette except for buying those damn atomisers all the time...it cost me shiploads just to get the atomisers. I order them cheap but still my costs are so high cause I always have to replace them. A dse 901 atomisers lasts me about a day or maybe two. Its really annoying. The thing dies on me. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I may be doing wrong or how to make an atomiser live for at least a week? Things I do do are direct drip and I use an indulgence mod(i got a gold and silver one) and I try not to overheat the thing. I drip about three drops and take about three puffs. I recently read on here that you can clean the atomisers and I put them in boiling water for 15 minutes and it seemed to revive one of them. I am clueless what to do and I even considered giving up vaping because of this.
well sorry to rant but I figure i give you some history for a full diagnosis.
Thanks everyone.

Ive got at least one DSE 901 (not sure if the other one is as well), and Ive not had the issue you mention but i use mine on either a 501 PT (at 3.7v, I have 5v, but tbh it doesnt like the 5volt one) or a 510 manual batt (I have an adapter) . I dont know anything about the mod you are using - is it too much for the 901? I do know my 901 doesnt get as hot as my 510 which gets volcanic!
I wonder if the mod is HV (is it? I have no idea) if its blowing the atty - one day is far too short a time for an atty to 'last'..Ive had my 2 at least a month now and I direct drip too.
Perhaps a 901 + mod expert can help you out, theres definitely something not right.

You should be gettin' 2-4 weeks on average out of a901 atty. I do. Are you vaping juice that's really dark(lots of dye)? Running it dry, or maybe just flooding it and making it not perform as well? I would suggest only buying genuine SLB attys. I get mine at Atomizer's
Other than that, ??????

I noticed on that site that there are two versions of the 901 atty (V1 and V2). Do you happen to know what the difference is?

I have a dse 901 and actually the 901 atties last very long (remember that an original dse 901 kit ships with only 1 atty). After 3 months the atty is like new.
Now...the 901 atty is not a drip machine, they tend to flood easy and when they do they are like dead. Once cleaned they must be dried very well. If you have a manual battery just blow the excess water and hit the button for 6-10 seconds. If you hear sizzling tahts the water being heated. Let the atty cool a bit and repeat till you hear no sizzle. Eventually you will see it glow (you must be in a dark environment coz the coil is under a "washer").
After this it should be like new. Keep your 901 atty sitting in a absorbent paper during the night ,with the battery connection up, it will drain excess juice.
Now: if you use the indulgence @ 6 volts you are likely to kill the atty in a day. You must use a HV 901 atty or you are likely to lose too many atties. @ 6 volts a 901 atty will last me 1 or 2 days...but some just die after a few puffs. If this is the case try vaping at 3,7 and check how many days the atty will last (very long!).

I'm pretty sure the difference is that one has a high (pointy) bridge (wick) and the other one is a low bridge. I prefer the high one. I think it wicks better.

You can usually taste it when the atty's getting dry. Starts to taste hot or burnt. That's when ya better juice er up.

I just purchased a 901, it takes a lot of cheek power to get a good vape, looked in the atty can't tell if it's high or low bridge, doesn't vape like my other Pv's Have to wait between puffs, to get anything out of it, is this they way they are designed.

I top off often and get 3-4 weeks on a 901 at 5v and 6-10 weeks at 3.7v.
