I completely understand the way you feel. I don't have enough posts to post a link ( even to this forum it seems) but you should google the phrase "e cigarette forum vaping is not a complete substitute for tobacco smoking" without the quotes and read the thread and study.
I have bought several devices including a njoy penstyle that was DOA, a smoking everywhere "pee wee" style, a classic penstyle with many extra atomizers and batteries and much strong juice from puresmoker, and also strong sampler from JCreek just to make sure I could make the switch and it didn't work. I have still not been able to quit tobacco.

Good luck
I have to agree. Haven't had a cigarette since I started vaping, yet e-cigs haven't completely replaced the satisfaction derived from smoking a cool old menthol cigarette. I think the fact that I haven't smoked has more to do with my ever increasing disgust over cigarette prices and being so dependent on the smoking habit that I'd continued to hand over my money despite being treated like a leper or something.
I'm not completely sure what this "buzz" is most of the forum members seem to be discussing. The only buzz I've ever felt smoking cigarettes was dizziness and slight nausua when smoking after being away from cigarettes for awhile. The only time I've craved a cigarette was whenever I knew I couldn't immediately get my hands on one ie. I neglected to buy another pack before running out.
Occasionally, I'd find myself chain smoking. Not because I craved or needed a cigarette...simply out of habit. I'd light a cigarette because
- I needed something to do with my hands.
- I was bored.
- I was hungry, but too lazy to prepare a proper meal.
- I was having coffee.
- I was "sitting on the can".
- My favorite song was on the radio.
- To look cool.
- Because somebody pissed me off.
- It gave me something to do while walking across the parking lot.
- It helped me focus my attention.
I'd light a cigarette and forget I wanted one. Light another cigarette and meet the first friggin' cigarette on the rebound.
I'd take a smoke break at work , enjoy the first couple drags...then force myself to finish the rest. I could go 8 1/2 hours without even thinking about a cigarette, then smoke 4 or 5 during the 45 minute drive home.
Electronic cigarettes don't satisfy any of the reasons I gave myself to light a cigarette in the past. And, except for a hint of strawberry and vanilla...a hint, meaning I think I taste something...I've yet to taste anything resembling a flavor, much less a flavor to get excited about. I spend way too much time consumed with cost factors and nicotine and ejuice strength and vapor production and WHO GIVES A DAMN!?
I just want to experience the same satisfaction...whatever that is...I used to get from the first couple drags of a cigarette.
On the plus side though,
- I enjoy not looking for matches or lighters.
- Don't have to concern myself with misplaced packs.
- No more smoking butts.
- No more giving away cigarettes.
- No more burn marks.
- Don't have to wonder if I stink anymore.
- No more stinky basement, clothes or car.
- No more ashtray breath
- No more NO SMOKING zones.
- I feel a little better.
- My self image has improved.
More importantly, though...
...no more being victim to anyone with an anti cigarette agenda.
Vaping...there's a lot to be desired...in my humble opinion....but it's all but eliminated my insane "smoking behavior patterns"...and it beats the hell out of being screwed without a reach-around...!

I have the 36 in both Marlboro (now called Cash M blend I think) and 36 Riskee. It hits me hard and I'm already ready to step down on my next juice order. I also kept smoking regular cigs until I got the Bada-Bing cigar from Puresmoker.com and since I have had it I haven't had an analog in 15 days and have no desire for one either. Just find the right e-cig for you and the right juice and you will do ok. Just have to experiment a little until you find what works for you.

I understand completely where you're at. I quit analogs 5 days ago and have had trouble from time to time still craving an analog. I have some 36mg from TW that has helped. When I first got it, it about blew the top of my head off with the strength. I cut it at first but now am more used to it. I use it sparingly when I'm really craving an analog. I think you need to try the penstyle like it's been suggested. I think you have too small of an ecig. You need more power. I love my penstyle, just waiting to get the atomizers replaced from PS as they were defective. I'm pretty sure that was a fluke because most people rave about the penstyle and didn't have the probs I did. Get a DSE801 or Classic RN4072. You will really see a diff. Then get some 36mg juice. Right now it's hard to find with the FDA scare but I'm sure this week our suppliers will be getting more. Don't give up. I know it's hard, believe me, I KNOW! But I think it's worth it in the long run. We will feel better and the stupid govt won't be getting any more of our tax dollars, at least for now.
Good luck!

Saboteur, I totally agree with your reasons for smoking a cigarette before with the boredom and ritualistic stuff, but I find myself frustrated now because like before I still cannot seem to quit tobacco. Chains, I really think you should continue to try to find what works ro you and I didn't mean to down your attempts. I currently have 30ml of 36mg on order from TW and am looking to buy both a vaporking and a bada bing e cigar. Since I found ecigs I have been able to cut my tobacco intake very significantly, including 2 days I did not smoke tobacco at all and I feel much better because of it. I have never been able to quit even for one day before, so I still believe. But understand there is a reason why you are feeling this way.

BTW Saboteur, the "buzz" means the feeling when you haven't had a cig in 8 hrs and finally step outside and light up only to promptly melt into the pavement.

Wow, awesome job describing my smoking. Kudos! I'm sure many here could say the same.
This (and your other comments) would be perfect for the Quitting section, probably spark some good discussion.

Prob not the juice... it's the device. Supermini looks like a cig... but most others will work better to help cut back cigs. Try 901.

I agree with her.

and just for kicks.. you could try Camel Snus.. they really are pretty good for the nic hit to keep the analogs at bay for a while
I bought a cheep super mini (2 for 40) just see if I would like it. I felt the potential and bought a couple more 901's I now own a penstyle and I love it, the 901's were good but the penstyle carts hold a lot more juice and the bats last me most of the day, so I do not have to fiddle with it as much. I still do tobacco but mostly as a social thing at work.
