Why not just make an offset tank where the carto is set closer to one side

It's soem off brand thing...im open to any links to betetr devices...or any alternatives to solder for connecting wires to the connectors

as for offsetting a tank....someone on here was looking into doign it but it never seemed to materialize... Ody tank and the like cant be offset so easily...

also...even offsetting a traditional tank may not work, as the clearance between the connector and the body is VERY small. It took me while to sand down the edge on my brass cross piece to allow the clearance(fitting a cap on that side is gonna be difficult i think)

What type of soldering iron are you using? Even a cheap variable-wattage station is much better than a Rat-Shack pencil iron.

    Hello All
I am a long time NHaler customer but quiet on the forum. I was lucky enough to get notification last batch and score a Darwin. I am loving it. I must admit, I was a mechanical only mod person for a long time and was reluctant to "buy the car that parked itself."At the insistence of a trusted friend, I succumbed to the pressure and bought one. I do have a question, which probably has been answered but I am unable to read this entire thread. I am experiencing a tad of leakage at the connector. It happens sporadically and with attys, cartos and with tanks with an adapter. A tissue in hand is well worth the excellent quality of the Darwin, just wondering iff it is user error and if I can do something to prevent. My teacup yorkie, Lola, loves e-liquid. She tries to lick the bottles for drips if I leave them in her range and I am concerned I may not be as attentive when I get into the vapegasm of the Darwin and need help. Any and all thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance and happy vaping. I want a lil brother for my Darwin too. Is there a pre-order or notify me yet?

    bonniegirl,

There is one cause of leakage. Too much juice. In one way or another, you're over either over filling or over dripping. Tanks, I don't know. We have many many many tank users here who will most likely chime in.

    (vapegasm?) ..........

    Go for the Gold...

I came for the vape. I stayed for the giggles.

I agree with Kat, but there are definitely certain atties that will leak more than others. Have you looked into a drip shield from either empire or avid? I dont have a Darwin yet but I have my drip shields ready, although I have not had much of an issue with leaking lately.

The drip shield will not go down to where the leaking is.It is below the connection of the atty or carto to the connector. The drip shield does not go down there and why would the e-liquid???????????IT is confusing.

Yeah, they were initially made for 901 atties but all you need to do is connect a 510 shorty adapter in order to use it. Not sure if nhaler sells them or not but I will check right now.

Oh I just found out that not only does nhaler sell the adapter, they also sell a bunch of colored drip shields. It is the top selection on the left once your in the store.

edit2: I forgot to mention that you might just wanna give up and sell that Darwin to me jk

This is the adapter you want, make sure you get the sealed one: 510 to 510 Extender

Using the sealed adapter with a drip shield will completely seal off that end so that nothing can leak out. That will take care of you for attys and cartos

Overfilling/overdripping would be the first thing that comes to mind for why you're having leaking issues, but that doesn't explain the tanks, not to mention you've been vaping quite a while and I assume you weren't having this problem before on other mods? If that's the case, I'm totally puzzled

I vaguely remember mention a while back of some sort of grease or lubricant that seeped out around the base of the connector arm for some people. Though I didn't experience this, I guess it stopped eventually for those that did. So one thing to look into real easy is to give your leakage a sniff to determine if it is in fact juice

Hope all there have an AMAZING TIME!! I'll be watching the feeds - especially VapeTeam on Friday and Saturday nights from 8-10Pm eastern: VapersPlace | VP Live Vape Team

To all going: make sure to hunt down VapinGreek, VapingMonkey, Protrex and Baldgroove (some of the members of The We Are Vapers Team - just look for big cameras and filming equipment) and introduce yourself!!
