That would probably work. I hate stacking adapters, so I don't do it.

Hey guys! I've been stalking this thread for a bit waiting to hear news about a release of a Darwin. I would love one so badly!

Yeah, way too big to close. A little top-heavy, too. The Line was just barely too big to close with a single 510 extender in place and the GTUS is a bit bigger than that (it's actually only a hair smaller diameter than the VPX tanks)

Well, I haven't had any problems with mine, yet. I bought it in early May of last year and it's been my everyday carry mod pretty much that whole time with no problems

The Bulli closed just fine for me when set up in both tank sizes with only the one 510 extender (which I leave on there all the time, anyway)

Ditto. I use only a single 510 extender just so I don't wear out the brass threads on the connector arm from repeatedly screwing/un-screwing. Every few months the adapter gets a little worn on the atty end so I swap it for a new one.

I stack 2 adapters, and they pretty much stay on there, I find its easier for tanks and what not, plus its perfect for the smoktech tanks, the slim ones, with a 801 fusion.

You and me both I miss my Darwin . But latest news I heard was Brandon said on an interview a week and a half ago or so (maybe 2 weeks) that they had all parts just needed to assemble and not to expect stock for about 3 weeks. So I am hoping we will get a chance within a week or 2.

You must not be stalking as hard as me lol. (just kidding) It has been 20 days since he said a few weeks, but there was a holiday and a couple weekends in there too. Either way I am ready!!! I actually started stalking March 10th and was told 2-3 weeks back then. I am not angry so nobody needs to scold me for mentioning that, I understand that other products take precedence sometimes and things do not always go as planned. I have my fingers crossed really hard that we might hear something this week. I am a bit nervous because from what I have heard this might be the longest drought for Darwins ever and am afraid that when they become available, I might somehow miss it, be it work or something else. I am sure they will go quick but maybe there will be a bunch of them who knows.

I share your pain and feel the same anxiety as you do regarding availability once they do become available. You have me beat by several weeks of waiting (I started at the end of March) and pent up demand could easily blow through the ones that become available. I also have some fears that the Darwin may be coming to the end of its product life cycle with all of the new devices becoming available from Evolv. However, until I hear differently I am going to continue to wait and stalk just like you as it still meets my desires (I can hardly say needs with a device as advanced as a Darwin ) almost perfectly.

P.S. An Opus with a display would also meet my desires perfectly, but that is likely asking a bit much in miniaturization for the devices at their current size, sophistication and price point!

I have a Bulli A2 as well as an A2TM, both of which close on my Darwin without any additional adapters (my Darwin is of the era where it came with an adapter pre-attached). There is enough space when closed to easily insert 3 sheets of paper between the A2TM and Darwin, any more and I have to force them. I have noticed that the Bulli does angle slightly away from the Darwin. It may be because of the adapter, or the way the threads are in the brass, so your Darwin may not be as accommodating, but a single adapter should allow it to close.
