8.0 to 9.0 watts.....that gives me a "plan of attack" when the Darwin arrives......

On the 510 carto's I use while out-and-about in the car, the VV mod is set to 5.0 volts for the 3.0 ohm carto (8.333 watts), and really gives a great vape, so my first vape on the Dawin will be using the carto with a power setting of 8.3 watts....If that gives a great vape, then just a matter of throwing on a 510 atty or BE112 and see how it vapes.....

    Thanks

You're in luck then because the midway stopping point for the Darwin is 8.4 watts. So its very easy to find without even looking at the Darwin and the wheel sits there nicely without moving too easily.

    Thanks for the info - mid-point = 8.4 watts

Exactly. True, care-free vaping with the right juice vessel.

retird - throw anything and everything you have at the unit. Hell buy some adapters if you have 801's, 901's etc and blast away. Dial in your favorite wattage and this bad boy will just go about its business delivering it hit after hit. You will be overjoyed with the unit. I also love the fact that it can be cahrged via the USB so it now has a spot in the computer bag for travelling with me. When I fly I leave all my MODs at home since I really do not have room to carry a charger and batts. The Darwin however gets to come along while his siblings hang in the man cave awaiting my return.

Yep, already have the adapters, and will throw everything at it (except the kitchen sink)....

Does the Darwin cause any issues with security checks?

I can not say it won't but it has not for me and in the past 9 days here is a list of countries where it past through airport security in my computer bag w/flying colors:

    US
    Germany
    Holland
    Finland
    United Kingdom

In the Netherlands they flagged the Ego batts and when I saw them looking at them on the monitor I said "those are electronic cigarrettes". They asked to see them not for security but since three of them were smokers. They were not allowed to try them but I took about six massive hits to show them what they do right there at the security line. I then hooked them up with the name, make and model and list of stuff to buy from Liberty Flights in the UK since I did not know of any Suppliers in Holland. Happy Vapes

Nice one (educational vaping in a "No Smoking Area") --- and Abe at Liberty Flights is great to deal with....

While I don't have my Darwin yet, I do fly 3 or 4 times a month with full e-cig gear. Boston Logan is a PITA, but I always take a few drags when TSA asks me what it is. Turned on a couple TSA agents on the spot. I usually have 2 eGos and 4 to 6 KR808 in my bag with assorted cartos. I have my juice in a plastic bag for their inspection. I don't think the Darwin will be any worse than what I go through almost every week.
