CE2 XL and voltage ?

Sorry for such an elementary question, but I'm an elementary guy.

What are the voltages CE2 XLs can be used at? I assume 3.7v is fine, but would 5v or 6v kill them?

Even a CE2 at 3.2ohm is not really enough for 5 or 6v. I have gotten as high as 4.4v before the burning juice taste starts on a CE2 3.2ohm.

Also: even a 3.2ohm in a tank mod seems to burn at above 4.4v.
