Default Next Safety - the biggest breakthrough in NRT?

Next Safety is a US company that develops and manufactures pulmonary drug delivery devices and pulmonary respirators.

That is to say that they make medical technology which delivers drugs to patients via the lungs. So it should be no surprise that one of these devices is the Pulmonary Nicotine Device - a form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy that delivers nicotine to the user's lungs in particles small enough to be absorbed efficiently.

The product is not yet available and, for all I can tell at the moment, not even in prototype stage, so it's likely that we'll be waiting for some time to see the real thing.

Until then you can look at some pretty pictures of what it may look like here.

(There is also some interesting reading on that page so do give it a look).

Woody: Imagine the cantina scene in Star Wars. Imagine one of these nicotine-delivery devices on the bar. For the pub, this device looks like an ancient hookah pipe, with eight hoses coming off a central atomizer core. You sip a drink, then suck a hose end serving your part of the bar.

Imagine flying on a commercial airliner and you press a button to drop a hose from the ceiling above your seat. Imagine the E-Cig Daytona 500, where NASCAR drivers (in their race-leading Tota Motor Nanos) sip Gatorade from one hose and vapors from another while both hands remain on the wheel. Imagine rest areas along Interstates where you can deposit a quarter into a vending machine and suck three tokes' worth of high-nic vapor.

This is a wonderful thing after all, isn't it? Ugly? Right now. But wait 'til those Turkish carvers get ahold of one of these magic boxes.

And I expect them to be available in team colors within a few years.

One thing you can say about nicotine users! We are a creative and imaginative bunch. When |I quit smoking I had a total creativity bypass. Thanks for the ideas Tropical but I think I'll stick with my e smoke (while it's legal)

I don't know why they just didn't make it look like the inhaler's used for asthma. It's rather bulky looking. Anyway, they moved it to another page of their website. Here is the link to it's new location:
