The key point is: having a 3.6% juice that is either from a simple tobacco extraction process, and so contains lots of other stuff too that will gunk u the atomiser and burn on the heater coil, OR having a 3.6% juice that was made from purified (99%) nicotine.

This is true but see my post above.

I agree, and would love to have a clean source of nicotine in a known, safe strength. But right now I'm making do with the new 48mg liquid that can be bought. I dilute that and add mullein to it.

That sounds like a good plan and better than taking a chance with something so toxic. Sounds really scary to me. Can you imagine the hayday the Feds and the press would have if someone got really sick or god forbid, would die from nic poisioning?

I'm not used to the metric system. That is why I posted this. If this quote above is correct and I expect it is, than there is no way I would ever touch this stuff.
Thank you.

These are the types of threads the FDA drools over.

This thread also gives Sen. Frank Lautenberg fodder for yet another letter demanding this entire practice be declared illegal by the FDA. Threads like this really should not be posted at all. We can't censor, but this is just inviting trouble.

Not directed at you TBob... but does anyone really think senators are cruising through e-cig forums looking for ammunition to add to their "ban e-cig" campaigns? Just wondering.

Reminds me of bathtub gin killing people during alcohol prohibition or back alley abortions killing women when legal ones were banned. If eliquid is pulled from the market and can't be aquired I'm afraid we will see more of this with tragic results.

agreed. And when you consider that extraction of nicotine from tobacco uses some of the same chemicals as a meth lab, essentially what you can end up with is clandestine nicotine labs that are a bigger problem than meth labs because they combine the hazards of the meth lab with the extremely hazardous risk of pure nicotine
