I'm still waiting for one of you experimental types to give that a try. Theoretically it should work. Go for it

Sooooo, appears snus taken rectally may be more efficient. Right now snus seems pretty cheap, so wasting with oral use is acceptable for me, but to all the adventurers out there, I'd suggest starting with a mini and work up.................and don't use dry portions .

For the love of God, who comes up with this stuff? ....and who funds it?
I'll check in later when I find out where I am, provided I'm still where I left myself .

It won't be me. Snus portions burn the mouth sometimes. Imagine putting it in a more sensitive place.

You mean I didn't make it obvious enough that the snus suppository was a joke?

I must say that snus has recently saved me. No more staring at the clock at work waiting for my next break to come only for my craving to be slightly fixed by ecigs. I have only been trying some American brand...where is this Swedish stuff you all speak of and is there a brand you would reccomend?

    Good morning Imboden!

There are 2 or 3 threads in the Smokeless Tobacco forum with "recommendations" in the title.

From what I've learned so far you should probably start with an average nic content and milder flavors. Probably portion instead of Los (loose).
    Branch out from there.

Traditional Swedish process uses, among other flavorings, salt and oil of Bergamot. Those are the first things IMO that can hit a new user in a negative manner. After a short period of time you don't notice the salt, but a low salt snus would be good for starters.

Average nic is 8mg. The snus with higher levels of nicotine per gram, or portion can be to much for some, like me! Other folks thrive on the Sterks and Ekstra Sterks, 9 to 11mg, and 15mg and up.

What I consider milder in taste would be Ettan Original and a new one to me, Fielder & Lundgrens' Granit. I'm told by other forum members that Swedish Matchs' Lab Series 01 is mild as well.
Bit stronger in salt and tobacco flavor but still on the mild side is General Original. That would give you a good representation of the "traditional" taste.

General Wintergreen and General Mini Mints are 2 popular mint flavored snus that I feel are easy to take.
The Wintergreen is a White portion @8mg and the Mini Mints are a Mini portion @4mg.

This post serves as a good primer for the "nuts and bolts" of snus.

I've used the following vendors and readily endorse them all.
The Northerner, largest selection, in Sweden, reasonable to average prices and shipping costs.

GetSnus, smaller selection than Northerner, in Pennsylvania, better prices and fast cheap shipping. They will use UPS for orders over $20 so if you go over that amount e-mail them to specify USPS

ClubSnus, really small selection but should be expanding in the next month or so. Located in San Francisco they've got the best prices of the bunch. Because they are small the customer service I've seen and personally experienced is fantastic!

Enjoy! Come on over to the Smokeless Forum

Dude....It would burn like hell to put a pris in your butt! Not to mention freakin nasty and kinda hard I would think?

I suppose you could try freezing it and the cold might sooth the initial burn.

Now I am thinking of how you get it out? could you sew a string to it? I mean if you had to poo it out, that might take a while...I snus more often than than I poo so what by the end of the day you have a bum full of snus!?!?

What would your toots smell like?

Man, I don't think thats a good idea to insert tabacco into yer bum.

OK, so I know it was a joke but thats funny.
